DL has taken the A350 off the DTW-AMS flights for the last week or so, the 777LR is being used. So this is just an example of what was mentioned above.

Re: Unconfirmed: DL closing NRT. Suspends NRT-SIN, Announces ICN-MNL

Could not agree more!!! I am guessing that oddball DL 27 (ATL-ICN) departure time allows DL to squeak out an extra segment per day/week with the A350. As it stands now if you want to stay on Delta metal/CFRP from ATL-SIN you have an extra leg to DTW/LAX/SEA or a 12 hour layover at ICN. Singapore Ai...

Re: Unconfirmed: DL closing NRT. Suspends NRT-SIN, Announces ICN-MNL

Since DL is moving to ICN, KE/DL should add a morning ICN-SIN flight to the bank so when the ATL-ICN flight arrives there's no 10.5 hour layover as there currently is. Could not agree more!!! Re: LH to announce two new US-routes from MUC

My guesses would include IAH, ATL, DFW, SEA or PHL. LH would not serve AUS-MUC right away, they just started service there this year. I wouldn't guess DFW at the top of the list though since LH has consistently flown larger aircraft to other stations. DTW has seen the A340-600 for some time now, and...

DL ops at MCO on Saturday’s in the winter must be a mad house. I wonder how they do their staffing for all the extra flights. DL has just one flight a week extra from GRR, MEM, BNA, MKE, BDL, STL... the list goes on. It’s got to be an extra 20 flights during that time. I also think that Delta sees t...

Oh and not to mention FCO, which has 5 daily flights from DL I believe. April-November. FCO is a obviously a SkyTeam hub but connections are almost exclusively served through AMS, CDG, and to a smaller extent LHR for destinations outside Europe. Still impressive IMO.

How long will seven flights to HND last on DL? They said in the past that NRT yields were challenging with no alliance feed, so I’m not sure how HND would be different. HND is the preferred airport but seven flights is a lot. Are there any other international non SkyTeam hub cities with that much D...

DL would rather add RDU-AMS. If DL were to start CLT-AMS, it would be like AA starting DTW-LHR with their own metal. CLT is the strongest legacy hub. In terms of market share, as we all already know that AA has about 85-90% of the market at CLT. Which makes it make even less sense.
