Look at my username and you’ll see who I am rooting for. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Fingers crossed :) Pretty soon, F9 will have to serve more than just IND in Indiana. Now, this doesn’t mean that F9 should ignore IND. Far from it - IND is a growth airport, especially given the growth in th...Jump to post
Maybe it's because of my limited experience with RJs in while in the US, but is first class really needed on a RJ? In all fairness my RJ flights either end or start in EVV, which is not a hotspot, but the flights to CLT or DFW that I've bren on are not that long to justify paying for a first class ...Jump to post
Cape Air going to BNA raises an eyebrow. Tapping into future opportunity? OWB would be far better served with a trip to ord, but that is a long haul in a 310. Cape committed to BNA in their latest EAS bid, I believe that the other two bidders also included service to additional cities, but it appea...Jump to post
This new service came out of 9K's latest bid for the OWB EAS contract.
I would say IND or SDF, IND would pull in people that don't want to deal with ORD and SDF for those in Southern Indiana and KY that don't want to drive to STL or BNA.Jump to post
A while back I booked my Christmas flights to EVV ( SYD-DFW-EVV). The flight to EVV was originally booked as a CR9. Last night I got a flight change notice from QF stating that AA has changed the flight to an E75. Much better plane IMHO. Last year the CR9s I was on just felt "tired" to me...Jump to post
HAHAHAHA. These LGB NIMBYs would have a heart attack if they came to visit me. I live on the Indiana side of the 17R approach into SDF. UPS planes at all hours of the day and night, and I love every minute of it!Jump to post
I could see them taking over the EVV-ORD route. UA flies 2x daily E145 and 1x M-F CRJ-200.Jump to post
Ahead of the Derby, US CBP has announced that international GA flights into SDF will now be able to clear Customs at SDF rather than enter the US through another airport before continuing on to SDF. https://www.bizjournals.com/louisville/news/2019/04/26/international-passengers-now-can-clear-customs...Jump to post

SDF. Final for 17 L/R is directly over downtown Louisville. It's always fun when I get called in to work from the office in downtown and a UPS 748 flies overhead. Planes are usually at about 2500 feet when they fly over my office building.Jump to post
I could see UA swapping these planes onto routes like EVV-ORD. UA flies 3x daily M-F and 2x Sat and Sun on a mix of CRJ2s and E145s. This would give the route F seats, for the first time I believe, and add additional PE seating. I think there may be 6 seats per flight of PE currently between the two...Jump to post
SDF won't be getting any international passenger flights until they can build out an international arrivals area. CBP is only able to handle cargo clearance in SDF. A Swift international charter had to divert to SDF in 2017 and it took several hours for CBP to bring in the necessary personal and equ...Jump to post
If there is a 2019 thread for Kentucky already in place, feel free to delete this thread, but I searched and did not see one. I'll get the thread started with today's news from SDF: The Louisville Airport Authority Board has decided to change the name of SDF. Louisville International Airport now bec...Jump to post
Anybody know when EVV redesigned the TSA screening? Two years ago when I was back home for Christmas, the TSA screening was immediately outside of the gate areas. When I flew in there last month, the screening has moved into the hallway that leads back to the gate area, which moved the entrance of ...Jump to post

Why would a DL acquisition automatically be the end of HA? Couldn't DL decide to keep HA as is and create some North American version of IAG?Jump to post
I fear that the upgauge announcement for CLT and DFW is getting swept under the rug. The LAX flight might not be the only mainline AA we see in SDF.Jump to post
If I'm not mistaken, the return from LAX will be the first passenger arrival of the day at SDF.Jump to post

UPS already serves all those destinations. :) A typical conversation I have on the SDF FB page: Random: Why are we called Louisville International when we don't have any international flights? I joked on the FB post that it could be a CRJ200 flight to IND timed to connect with the CDG flight. They lol'd but I don't think they were too happy with that guess.Jump to post
Maybe WW dropped STL and CVG for SDF?!?Jump to post
You joke, but whomever made the point about bourbon and equestrian tourism in KY in the BA to CHS thread just might be on to something. In the future, I could see 2x weekly flights LON-SDF during the spring and summer.Jump to post
https://www.facebook.com/louisvilleinternationalairport/posts/1045671658947823 Per the SDF Facebook page, they will be announcing a new nonstop destination today at noon today. I know there is still a lot I have to learn about the industry/market, but I have a thought. Please don't roast me too hard. Would this KE flight work from IND: IND-NRT-ICN? We are starting to see more and more Korean investment here in SoIN, mainly around the River Ridge complex (former Army blackp...Jump to post

Looks like the one of the top priorities of the new executive director of the LRAA is an international terminal for SDF.
Does SFB still use private security, or has security coverage reverted back to the TSA?Jump to post
I've not been there, but friends tell me that OWB is rather small and cramped. They have G4 service to SFB.Jump to post
