LAX is just too huge of a market for AS to completely "de-hub". All sizable US carriers operates some form of a large focus city or hub in LA, and for AS to bail on that market would be bad, even from a PR perspective. SFO will likely reduce, simple because the market isn't as big and UA ...

It was always a mystery to me why LH doesn't use 777s, while almost every other major international airline in the world does. I know they just ordered 777-9s which will be delivered starting 2020, but why haven't they been doing so?

I would add that Vegas does not provide the closest infrastructure for going to Lake Tahoe. The two are separated by a 7.5 hour drive on a pretty desolate highway. . TG and QR don't even serve SFO, and even if they did I doubt their yields are high enough to justify A380 service. Same with China Southern (they do serve SFO) AF already flies the A380 into SFO,

Out of the 4 big European carriers (AF, BA, LH, KL) only KL does not operate A380s. What are some possible reasons for it? I would think that destinations like JFK, DXB, JNB have the demand sufficient enough to justify A380 service from AMS.
