Re: The new domestic service standard: just water. DL now onboard.

Airlines struggling, employees getting laid off, or furloughed, manufacturers struggling, handling companies and contractors going under, and airports losing service...The entire industry, turned upside down. But the pressing issue is that some of you can't go more than 3 hours without a full meal....

Re: United Fleet, Network, & Livery Thread - 2020

So, on the 789 front - 968 is in for the Polaris/PP mod, but 975 (new delivery) is fresh off the assembly line already configured in Polaris/PP. Must the 968 STC occur before 975 can start revenue service? Not clear how that works.

Re: United Fleet/Network Thread - 2019

Is N505UA (28J, B757-222) coming out of retirement after all? The ferry flights out of storage were cancelled a few weeks back, and I do not see anything else logged.

Re: Climate Change And Airlines

Of course the climate changes - it has since the beginning of time. It's changing as we speak. It all depends on who wins the political debate as to whether we spend trillions of dollars trying to make the climate not change - by punishing industries like commercial aviation. Time will tell! Does no...

Re: United Fleet Upgrade Status - 2018

Why doesn't United keep the "newer" BE-configured 2-cabin 763s and run them on domestic premium transcons? Why retire these birds? The domestic network could put them to great use.

Re: United Fleet Upgrade Status - 2018

Perhaps a little naive. United certainly could do the mods in-house, or stateside, at higher cost. But the difference in quality/workmanship doesn’t really justify the additional expense. In theory .. there should be little difference in quality/workmanship between such locations.... but that would...

*UA ORD-FAT JUN 0>0.8 JUL 0>1.0 WOW...we finally get a FAT-ORD flight..after nearly 30 years..surprised this was UA..I thought AA would have jumped in first. Either way, a welcome addition to Fresno's nonstop destinations. Be careful what you wish for! The equipment is an E175 with a block time of ...
