Anybody know any more about this https://www.stuff.co.nz/travel/travel-t ... n-auckland ?
From flightaware it appears that 2 QR flights landed on Sunday but instead of leaving they are both in Auckland and scheduled to leave on Wednesday.
Was it getting dark? Maybe the sun was going down. It gets darker when the sun goes down.
Jump to postA new airline being set up in Australia called Koala Airlines using 737 MAXs. http://www.koalaair.com.au Their livery looks real nice plus they show a route map with flights from the Australia East coast to NZ. Might be an interesting one to watch. The photos in the background of the plane are from...
Jump to postI was on LH 638 tonight which diverted to Athens for a passenger who needed medical attention. It got me thinking. Once the airline gives the passenger to local medical personnel do they have any more obligations to the passenger? If the passenger didn't have insurance are they essentially stranded?...

Jump to postHi all
This morning just behind EK8 into Heathrow at 7:50 I saw what looked like a 747 just behind it (I think 748). It had some type of lines on the nose. I went on both flightradar and flightaware but couldn't see it which was strange. Anybody know what it is?

Jump to postThe Air France livery is also from the mid to late 1970s. It received an update in 2009 but much like Singapore Airlines it’s still essentially the same design, give or take a few details. I'm going with Air France as they have managed to keep both the original livery and all the original dirt that...

I flew into Auckland late last night and saw what looked like an a350 with the word Olympus on it. Anybody know this airline and what it's doing there?
Jump to postSomething that popped into mind when thinking about extending the runway at WLG. We know doing so will be massively expensive. It is unlikely to massively unlock travel for long haul. And we can't just move it up to Param. But do we know if any thought has been put into effectively closing down WLG...

Jump to postA UA 741 landed at WLG as AKL was fogbound and they weren’t sure if they had enough fuel to get to CHC, not sure why not OHA. I think they had to offload freight to get it out possibly pax aswell. Late 1989s early 90s. WLG has a Short runway 6000ish feet. Ohakea was fogged in so they had to go to W...

I know there is separate domestic and international terminals, so I'm wondering about the process to go between them. There is a free terminal transfer bus you can take from outside domestic; alternatively it's advertised as a 10-min walk following a reasonably well-marked walkway. AS long as it's ...
