Wow! DFW - AKL would be great!Jump to post
AA should start DFW - AKL!Jump to post
Has anyone heard a rumor about JFK - ATH? Vasu mentioned that as a possibility at a OneWorld meeting recently. I have never heard this rumor. But it would be an easy airplane to fill in the summer. PHL is usually packed to the gills and ORD is off to a strong start. Yields may be another story with...Jump to post
AA and Qantas will simply own the market. Good for them.Jump to post
Qantas and AA will own the US - Australia market.
With that behind, AA should now focus on their relationship with China Southern and LATAM.
They should also figure out how to make their JV with Japan Airlines more profitable.
They are employees at will. Management can do whatever. The rules change all the time.Jump to post
In many of the cities they call focus cities or even hubs other legacy airlines are bigger than them and they don't consider them anything.
American and United would never call such tiny operations hubs and focus cities. It is laughable.
The DOT did the right thing.Jump to post
Congratulations to American Airlines and Qantas for their joint venture!Jump to post
Call me when Delta flies between the 2nd and 3rd largest metro areas in the US, LAX - ORD.Jump to post
With the Qantas joint venture now behind them, American should focus on LATAM, getting Aer Lingus to become part of the transatlantic joint venture with IAG and strengthening ties with China Southern.Jump to post
The Delta pilots are so lucky. With so many other Delta groups not unionized, they get to negotiate the whole pie when it is time for a new contract. I feel bad for Delta flight attendants. One day I hope they will realize how much they lose without a union. Every little detail makes a huge differen...Jump to post
Hopefully LAX - MEL on AA metal soon!Jump to post

I wonder if we are getting official news today.Jump to post
It seems like an announcement is coming today.
Great news for both AA and Qantas!
AA has a real problem. You can tell being on board. They want premium prices but offer the experience of a ULCC. Fly on an Oasis plane and tell me it doesn't feel just like Spirit. The first class seats are WAY worse than the older big front seats on spirit and certainly no better then the newer on...Jump to post
In a way DL does play a bit of bait and switch. They put in shinny new AVOD while adding more seats to their a/c and give out better snacks. Maybe if the pax is engrossed in a library of movies they don't realize they are cramped to hell and well "I might as well fly one of those budget airlin...Jump to post
What do you mean "bring back"? The title is completely wrong.
They haven't removed screens from any narrow body plane yet.
All the 737s that have been retrofitted didn't have individual screens in the first place. Only the ones coming down the ceiling to play the movie or safety video.
DFW is awesome. So easy to connect there.Jump to post
About time! American gas offered them a contract that is 100 times better than what they get at United and Delta. And Delta doesn’t have a contract as their mechanics are non-union. Did you see something about Delta and a contract? It says better than "what they get". In other words, what...Jump to post

AA will top 1000 departures a day soon at DFW!
Good to hear the route is doing well. AA owns Latin America.Jump to post
The Concierge Key Meeting. https://www.inc.com/chris-matyszczyk/american-airlines-reportedly-having-second-thoughts-about-its-most-loathed-planes-heres-big-catch.html Ah, that "opinion piece" as I said referred to F only, and even at that it was very vague of what AA might do for the F ha...Jump to post
Why would they enlarge the lavs while their competitors Delta and United have the same exact lavs on their new 321 and 737 airplanes? Those lavs are the new industry standard. Delta and United have had them for years now. AA was the last to do it. I wasn't intending to suggest that they should, but...Jump to post
Any update on the 14 Oasis? Have they been flying? There are two left in TUL, 3EA and 3FW, the rest have returned over the last 3 weeks or so. So far, no new frames have gone in for mods either. Maybe they are holding up conversions to cover for the MAX? The rumor mill over on FT says that Oasis-if...Jump to post
Delta always fighting against anything good for the workers. Immoral and unethical anti labor company with the dirtiest practices to make sure their employees don't unionize.Jump to post
It is getting approved pretty soon.Jump to post
JVs do not necessarily result to less flying for US airlines. Most of the times they result to more.
AA has a JV with Iberia but still owns Spain.
AA has a JV with BA and completely owns LHR.
And those are without even counting British Airways and Iberia flying.
