There's rumours that WS intends to sell some or all of its 763s by next summer. If true, than there won't be much international growth next year. Also likely means YEG/YWG-LGW would get cut, and YVR-LGW upped to a 789. Not sure what would happen with BCN though. I highly doubt that either of those ...Jump to post

This table seems to be extremely inaccurate. For example, for London, the following inconsistencies exist: YYC - is actually year-round. YVR - is seasonal. YEG - is a future Swoop route. YWG - is seasonal. Although interesting, this table should be taken with a grain of salt. London-Winnipeg was ca...Jump to post

Where else in the US could WestJet could add service after AUS & PDX? I know RDU and BOS could be possible but anything else we can think of in the near future? Swoop has, thus far, avoided any overlap with mainline markets. But both Swoop and WestJet operate YEG-YWG and YEG-LAS. WS originally axed their YEG-LAS flight when WO announced their service. Not sure why WS reinstated the service, maybe because RV started the same service this past season? WS ser...Jump to post

I'm surprised as to why YVR-MCO or YVR-FLL can't work with the A220? Do people in Vancouver just go down to SEA and fly to Florida? I don't think an A220 can make it that far? I can see AC slowly scale down its YYC operations. They already dropped Tokyo for the winter and Red Deer all together. I can't see two carriers on the YYC to Medicine Hat, Lethbridge and Cranbrook routes, so I'm guessing they'll drop those too. It was also interesting to see AC add YEG to YLW, YYJ,...Jump to post

Nice to see YYT-FLL, especially after WestJet slashed it's FLL network in the past two years. Crazy how long a flight that is - about as long as FLL-LAS! This headline is misleading. While they have cut on these markets, others have gained service as well. Net capacity is remaining roughly the same.
