Ok, I see, thanks. But then why the stopovers outside this zone? Was there not enough fuel to reach MUC?

Four unusual diversions of Lufthansa flights tonight

Very unusual: four Lufthansa flights from Asia were diverted tonight: LH 776 from BKK to SOF, LH 767 from BOM to ATH, LH 791 from SIN also to SOF and LH 763 from DEL to FCO. All flights have since taken off again and are on their way to MUC. Does anyone know the reasons for the diversions? They can'...

DXB-BOG non stop is similar in length to ATL-JNB. If they weren't short on 77Ls I would have thought they could make it non stop. Seems like it is a fifth freedom flight between MIA-BOG, so they must see some lucrative moeny there. Wonder how AA will sit with that. Going off this - BOG and JNB are ...

Now that we know everyone got off the plane, I wonder how many tried to grab their carry-on first before evacuating. On the video of the evacuation I couldn't see a single person with a carry-on. In this context, I also wonder what kind of crew they are: Romanians? Indians? A colourful mix? Pilots who are able to fly an A 340 should be able to find a job with a reputable airline.
Does the crew also have to remain in XCR - even though their working time has expired?
