Re: Austin Texas Aviation Thread - 2019

I went down Saturday morning to check it out when she was at the gate, pretty cool to see ANZ here!

Re: AA Fleet Updates - 2019

I could maybe see 3 or 4 757's coming back to pick up MIA slack, but thats a strong maybe.

Re: Rumor: American Airlines to Modify Project Oasis Planes.

Should we just rename the forum AA vs DL? I'm here to know what AA plans to do with oasis in the future.

Re: Rumor: American Airlines to Modify Project Oasis Planes.

I think people have turned this into the classic DL vs AA argument, thats not what the post is for. This post was to address the rumor that American was rethinking their Oasis choice, and that is something I think most people would like to hear about

I wonder if LH will offer First Class out of AUS? Would be nice to see KE be adventures, and try AUS, I think it will be a success. I think LH can pull off RDU as well.

LH already said its a two cabin A330-300, so no F for us...

Re: 757s in Vail

I would not be surprised if AAL uses the 737MAX for the MIA-EGE route, and UAL with the MAX9 on the IAH-EGE route

Re: 757s in Vail

I have flown into KEGE for around 8 years, and the loads are going up more and more. I remember when AA used to fly the 752 to DFW in the summer, and did EGE-DEN-MIA on the 752 as well. The 757 is a great plane for EGE, but the lack of them at AAL/UAL and most of them being sked on flights to south...

Re: 757s in Vail

A few months ago I had a good conversation with the Chief pilot of the 752/763 fleet, and he said the 767 could 100% fly out of EGE, they just don't have the loaders for it, and the capacity to handle it on the terminal side, but with loads and the actual performance of the aircraft hot and heavy, ...

Re: Delta Air Lines Network Thread 2018

If the AUS buildup is for real, I would expect to see DL add AUS-BNA. BNA has gotten some love lately (SEA; RDU; 3rd daily to BOS). AUS-BNA is currently served only by WN. Not really allowed to say who this is from, But Delta is going to be adding PLENTY from Austin soon, including AMS year round!

Re: Delta Air Lines Network Thread 2018

Your right, LAX is probably the best gateway for DL to Australia. There probably isn't much demand Australia-East Coast U.S. What do you think about the chances of ATL-OGG, ATL-India, or ATL-KEF? OGG wont happen. Frequency will be added over LAX/SEA/SLC. /quote] OGG is close to out of gates/slots, ...
