Re: AA starting 3 class 321 on MIA-LAX eff DEC 18 2019

Let me add another potential reason why the 321T is replacing the 77W on MIA-LAX: gate space at LAX. AA277, the 77W from MIA to LAX which I flew on Sunday, was 3h40min late leaving MIA. Once we arrived at LAX at around 1145 PDT, we circled the taxiways for an hour until Gate 41 opened up. There are...

From what I've heard most flights are over 80%. I'm hoping this will mean new routes out of XNA for Frontier.

I'm late to the conversation, but F9 will be using Allegiant's "gate" and their ground handling service, too.

Southwest was in extensive talks about coming to XNA, but they didn't due to fuel policies with the FBO.

Re: UAX EWR route cuts: Which are next?

In the past few months, United Express has cut multiple regional routes out of EWR and shifted them to IAD to alleviate congestion and improve connection. So far, routes like EWR-CHA/AVP/MHT/LEX/AVL are ones that have been shifted to IAD. It appears they are doing this in waves every few months, so...

Not to stray too far from the topic at hand, but we XNA nerds are stoked at the fact that AA is reinstating mainline service starting in July with A319s to DFW. Certainly exciting news for our little airport. I didn't realize that A319 was happening. Good for XNA. Seems odd for it only to be one fl...

The quality of this site has gone tremendously downhill since the inception of free membership and lack of moderation. That's true, but there were always a lot of "kids" who didn't know what they were doing on here, although that's fine as long as they don't think at 16 years old they kno...

"Never" is not too strong of a word for me. If the shoe fits.... I take issue with your comparison. So, the fact that Austin now has international flight to LHR and this surprises you somehow from where they were 20 years ago means XNA will get Southwest? These two aren't even REMOTELY co...

Not to shabby, if you ask me.Looks somewhat plain (pun unintended). I wonder if they will put this one their 757s and 767s or if its just for the MAX/a one plane livery.

Southwest operates out of Wichita is about a 2.5 to 3 hour drive from KC and about the same to OKC. XNA is a longer drive than that . . . perhaps close to 4 hours to KCI depending on the time of day. The drive from NWA to Tulsa is about the same from as KC to Wichita. I could see an XNA/LAS flight ...

XNA, Northwest Arkansas has quite the number of flights/destinations for our population. Walmart, Tyson, JB Hunt and some other companies have there headquarters in the area which makes up most of our traffic. We are one of the smallest airports to have service to LAX and SFO (year-round) and they a...

I'd be surprised if they did much one-stop routing without significant O&D on both legs. With props it's not much faster than connecting at a hub and G4 is doing 4 weekly nonstop XNA-SFB this summer. I can't imagine there would be much demand for a BKG-HSV or TUL-SHV/LIT flight so it would be d...

WaywardMemphian,

Yes, I am aware of this. I live in the NWA area. I visited BKG in May when ViaAir had service. There was a diverted SWA 737-300 there too due to a pressurization issue on the way from BWI-OKC.
