And on the day of F9's inaugural DEN-BTV flight, UA starts dumping a 737-900 on ORD-BTV. Sheer coincidence, I'm sure :scratchchin: The ice just went out on Lake Champlain, seems a little early for summertime capacity like the 737-900. To be fair the 737-900 you speak of looks like it came from 1972...Jump to post
AA seems to be way down for all NE airports this summer. PVD-PHL is running 6x, 3 mainline in May but 5x 1 mainline in June. BDL-PHL in June is 5x, 2 of which are 50-seaters, PWM actually has more capacity to DCA than PHL. Does the MAX grounding maybe have something to do with it? I know PVD sees E...Jump to post
The BA negus special is inbound as BA239 it arrives at 10:49pm. It will be leaving at 8:30am tomorrow (3/28/19) as Ba 238. Not sure why they sent it today instead of a 777-200. This plane wasn't scheduled to be flying anywhere today, so it was a last minute schedule change. Well, if you were lookin...Jump to post

I asked the Air Force pilot who flew the plane in several years ago, he mentioned that the plane was empty and had to basically come in on low fuel. It used the full length of the runway. Another example of short runways for big planes, several years ago..Air Force One landed at PVD before the runw...Jump to post
For some reason, the Patriots B767 does not ever show up on flightaware.com. The Pats 767 (AirKraft) shows on Flightaware as UDG (Call sign Underdog) followed by a number. Through the season it was a 2 digit number, the flight Sunday was UDG344. no idea of the significance. Just to be sure . . . th...Jump to post

Also, why were they flying delta? They should of be flying AA.
Why does the city of Warwick want more money from PVD? I also don't get why some people in RI also complain about the airport being favorable to the Patriots and their 763. The airport got a ton of free press today by the Boston media given the team left from their for Atlanta today. That alone sho...Jump to post
Well that was certainly a letdown. Especially after recent news with the push for service to SEA, AUS, JAX, ect.... I imagine BDL will get more service, but with an airline like F9 throwing darts all around I don't take this airline seriously. It seems like F9 at PVD is all over the place in terms ...Jump to post

Yesterday there was a BA a380 at BOS... looks like it diverted into BOS on a LHR-MIA flight. Left BOS at around 3:30am this morning BACK to LHR while it sat all day... wonder if they used the a380 gates? Also, a LH Cityline 343 diverted to BOS on a CUN-FRA flight! Left at around 4:30am and a faster...Jump to post
Could MHT serve as a northern New England airport for Amazon. Less congested than BOS and with the I-93 rebuild moving along it would be quick drive from MHT to the BOS area and northern MA. communities. Only issue may be space for an Amazon building and ramp. Perhaps another rebuild for perimeter ...Jump to post
Also, having ORH as capable of taking RJ/A320/B737 sized diverts isn't something to ignore. With the Cat-III landing system in place, ORH is at least capable of playing defense in bad weather now versus shoving its hands up in the air. A B6 gate agent told me that a bunch of BOS-bound travelers wou...Jump to post
How do the Patriots handle their charter flights from PVD? Does the 763 board at a regular gate? Or are the players, coaches and staff bused directly to/from the plane?[/quote] The Patriots board directly from the buses to the plane by air stairs. They used to board at the Northwest ramp but they no...Jump to post
It looks like F9 is going daily PWM-DEN starting in May , and bringing back RDU 3x weekly (Mon-Wed-Fri) Could potentially see new routes announced as well. ORD, ATL, CVG, FLL and even LAS are all possibilities from PWM. It also looks like Frontier is offering PSM-ATL starting in December, which see...Jump to post
Why don't they depart planes from 4L? Does it inhibits the ability to cross behind to 9 and 4R? I also noticed that they were landing flights on 4L (I saw a DL A321 and a B6 A320 landing while I was waiting for my UA flight to ORD. I've seen dash 8's and Cape Air's depart on 4L but not jets. In goo...Jump to post

Amazon Air really has nothing to do with Boston. Amazon's fulfillment center is in Fall River, Ma. The reason PVD was selected was due to it's close proximity to Fall River.Jump to post
Speaking of MHT, with the recent word that PrimeAir (Amazon) is pulling out of PVD for BDL, it seems to open the door for MHT or PSM to make a play for some PrimeAir Boston area business. BDL will fit Amazon needs for the that particular region, but I would suspect they would like to regain access ...Jump to post
It appears Amazon Prime will be flying into BDL with them moving flights over from PVD. Not sure where they plan on parking, the Fedex ramp is busy most days with 2-3 planes on the ground along with DHL and their 737. The master plan calls for additional cargo ramp space but that is a few years awa...Jump to post
Also announced today Amazon PVD operations will be terminated and moved to BDL.

They've been flying there for years. PVD too until last summer I think. I believe that route is mostly VFR.
Oh, sorry, wasn't clear. I know that at least some (and maybe all) ATI aircraft (i.e. leased from CAM) are getting ETOPS. The question was about "Atlas-Andromeda-Titan" -- meaning the OTHER leased fleet. And I don't think that you just wave a wand and voila they're all certified. So I ass...Jump to post
1511A has now arrived at PSM from TLV (4/4/18). We'll see when/where it goes for paint. New network is up as of today. Still some slack in the Atlas fleet -- so far at least. But it looks preliminarily like a little more utilization. We'll see as these routes play out over the next few days. Observ...Jump to post
Who says they can't use the plane for charters? N36NE was used to fly the New England Revolution soccer team to Philly after a Nor'easter. Also flew the Parkland, Florida students and family to DC and back. Are those not considered charters? They're not charters. The Kraft Group owns the Revolution...Jump to post
Have two seemed a little much. One widebody should be plenty. Even for an NFL team. And when their one plane goes on MX, then what? It's not like DL, AA, and UA can get them a widebody at a moment's notice. I actually have to agree with lavalampluva, especially now that I know they can't use them f...Jump to post
My guess is N225NE is in GYR to be stored over the off season? While N36NE is indeed sitting at PVD.Jump to post
It appears there will be some route changes in the next month or two. ATI will be flying to TPA and a number of ONT routes will switch to other carriers. I don’t have the bids in front of me, but there are numerous tweaks. SEA gets a new route or two, I know that. I’ll dig through and see if I can ...Jump to post
