Good bye first class on 777-300ERs. Surprising to see BNA and RNO hang on. Both seem far less desirable destinations from SoCal versus the massive Vegas market pull.

My point is why is everyone on this website going crazy and saying it flopped and is the fastest route to ever to get canceled before we even know it is canceled. UA pulling the plug on LAX-BNE less than 2-weeks after the first flight must be up there.
Considering the 787-9s will be coming with a larger premium cabin, I get the feeling AA does not have many markets in mind for them and is willing to stretch out their delivery further based on the wording of the spokesperson's statement.

Sad to see long-time route like SJC-LAX go, but it probably has much to do with the shifts in demand in the Bay Area and the manner companies work these days. Again, JL could simply just kill their NRT-JFK flight entirely. DOT can't get into all types of future hypotheticals. Good to see US-China flying increasing, while Chinese airlines start returning to nice profits also.
It probably means the Chinese airlines earn most of their profit on international flying as domestic volumes had rebounded quickly early in the year, but international flying took longer to resume.
Curious as to why the DOT is moving so slowly or atleast not providing any guidance on its plans for the awarding the vacated DL authority.
