Poor HA. Its markets just keep suffering. Longhaul has been slow recovery and USD currency pressure, interisland with Southwest, and then layer in problems with the key visitor market of Maui.

Considering the 787-9s will be coming with a larger premium cabin, I get the feeling AA does not have many markets in mind for them and is willing to stretch out their delivery further based on the wording of the spokesperson's statement.

Good to see US-China flying increasing, while Chinese airlines start returning to nice profits also.
It probably means the Chinese airlines earn most of their profit on international flying as domestic volumes had rebounded quickly early in the year, but international flying took longer to resume.
