Re: Rumor: Airbus to launch A350-1000ULR

Airbus A359ULR is an all premium seating aircraft that seats less than 160. So the A350k- ULR will seat 200 seats?? What will the range of a 200 seats 777- 8x be?

Re: Boeing 787-10 Missions in the transpacific market

787-10 will be used by carriers who are using the A330-300 right now... The benefits of 787-10 will be the extra 30-50 seats on their current A330-300...

Re: Boeing 797 Thread - 2019

At this moment, actually Boeing is still unsure if their NMA will be a 757 or 767 based. As for me I believed that NMA should be based on the 757... If Boeing decides that their NMA will be based on the 757, it will be the base for their new 737 or NSA too....

Any airlineres that operate the A330-300 will upgrade to the 787-10.... Unless Airbus do another stretch to the A330-900 it will all go to the 787-10.....

Re: Could the 787 be scaled to create the 797?

With the disaster the 737 MAX has become, i doubt Boeing will consider anything but a full from scratch redesign. Just scaling things and not spending money on engineering seems like a bad shortcut. The 787 with all the various models has its niche firmly in the market it seems. Its just that the 7...

Is 369 total seats the highest count seats in a A359? Just curious.... The recently-delivered Evelop A350-900 can carry up to 432 passengers with ist single-class config (!) (10ab economy) Air Caraibes' A350-900 is also denser, with 389 seats (3 class, 10ab economy) French Bee also has quite-high-d...

The 200LR is the real cage fighter!! Maybe the 777-200LR/F is like a sumo wrestler. The 777-9 is at serious ballerina, she gained 30k lb empty weight over the 77W. 77W OEW: 370,000 lb / 167,829 kg 777X OEW 400,000 lb / 181,400 kg Apparently the lower wing loading of the 777X provides better control...

Re: Boeing 787-10 Missions in the transpacific market

Is Taiwan considered north Asia? Eva air can only fly the 787-10 across the pacific to YVR, and may be Seatle. The real north Asia is Narita, Incheon, Beijing and may be Shanghai.... 787-10 would have no problem flying Lax to Narita, incheon and beijing. If carriers are willing to block 50 seats fro...

So two of the three leading Airline groups in Europe now have significant orders for the 777-9 Can AF/KLM be far behind? My take after all this discussion, is the 787-10 is exactly the same capability aircraft as the A330-300 except it can carry more Passengers and more efficiently too. If needed to certain airlines will be able to fly the 78x the same range as HK- YVR, but have to forego those cargo pallets.

If this come to realization this is a win win situation for all parties. EK future will be the A350 for medium haul and opening up ulh routes. Mature ULH routes will be serviced by 777. EK will still have the backing of two major manufacturers. Boeing will still have a big win, if airbus really clos...

Re: Boeing 797 Thread - 2019

The reason Boeing made 787 is because Airbus is so successful with the A330. A330 is so can be a long range plane if airliners put less seat on it. Hong Kong airlines was flying the A330 Hkg to Yvr route a few years back before they got their A350. Most airlines now put a dense configuration because...

Re: B777-9 future prospects?

The 777x will be successful in their own right. They will not sell as much as the 777W, due to so many other aircrafts option for a single engine widebody. I've heard that some are worried that the 777-9 is too big of an aircraft thus passing the sweet spot to airbus. I think the 777-200 LR is a bit...
