A question about crew bases

In the United States, especially with Big 3 airlines with coast to coast operations, crew bases can be dotted all around the country. But do pay scales for employees vary from one base to another, owing to local costs of living. Surely, using Delta as an example, places like Atlanta or Minneapolis a...

I've always believed Titans of industry always have their shareholders and company's best interest in mind. And if there was a way to deliver a new money-maker to the market, they would do so. Right now, there's just not enough out there to move either the speed or economy needle far enough to warra...

When transitioning from a normal approach and landing to a missed approach or go-around, how crucial is resetting the flaps? I get pitch, but how do airlines max profits by narrowing seats? Are you telling me you can shave enough width from 10 seats (and maybe from the aisles?) on a 3-4-3 widebody to make 11 abreast seating? And how does this even help with a narrowbody? Did 707s ever offer 2-3 or 2-2 seating in coach?
