Re: New Kansas City Airport

I'm just waiting for existing airports/terminals to upgrade to the glass jet bridges when replacement for current metal ones is due. I had always heard that reluctance to adopt glass in the U.S. was somehow security-related. Speculation I guess. Aside from the heat (which I guess can be mitigated b...

Re: No drowning the Shamrock here! Aer Lingus Dublin to Chicago A330 Economy Class

As an American, when passing through the pre-clearance facility last summer in Dublin, the agent concluded our business with "Welcome home.'' And it struck me as a polite, and generally swell thing to say. But, was I really home in the eyes of U.S. Immigration? I mean, my papers were in order, ...

TATL NB is like going back to 1958! I will only fly TATL on a wide body. Some people may not realize they are on an NB when they book their flight but they will find out once they get onboard. Glad DL is WB only. If all widebodies were 2-3-2 in the back with 34-35 inches of seat pitch, I'd understa...

I've never flown on a retro livery plane, so I have no first-hand experience of passenger reaction. I get that we enthusiasts think they're cool, but do average passengers get confused they are actually stepping aboard a TWA Airbus or a Reno Air 737? Or do they think a United plane in the old red, w...

So, it appears the plane climbs back into the sky at the end of this. What's worse? The initial bad landing or a decision (after wheels are on the ground) to fly with undetermined wing damage.
