Good point. But I definitely don't think this Mach group offer is anywhere near solid. My feeling is Transat wants to get it done with AC.

I'm willing to bet a beer that AC will never take up its MAX 9 order, which has been deferred. The 5th was announced by Air Canada in its 2018 MDA.

This is going to get sticky, me thinks. Pilots and FA's have scope on the growth of Rouge, so buying and merging Transat, I'm quite sure that they won't be allowed to just fold and combine all of Rouge in to TS and have it double in size. The extra big issue being that they have been given a let by ...

Wow... but I had a sneaking suspicion that this would happen. The fleets should integrate well; the A330s with the existing AC 330 fleet, all RR powered, and the 321s are a natural fit as well. The 321LR are an interesting acquisition. My prediction? AC will never take up its order for the MAX 9, b...

Long term it will be the a220.
In the immediate, while MAX8s come in, the a319 can take some e190 flying. Old 319 routes can be upguaged to the 320, etc.
Although they said they might reduce capacity, thus the news in July of sale and lease back of the e190s. But by now that might be outdated.
