Great news for JAX. Does anyone else think that the plan for the terminal expansion is extremely odd looking?Jump to post
Wasn't there some TWA contract that isn't allowing them to return? Though the bindings is a big rumor for leaving the TLV market, AA stated that it was too expensive of a route. They claimed that at any given time they needed to aircraft on the route, and they could better utilize equipment in othe...Jump to post
Looks like Via Air pushes back again to late June due to pilot shortage. Who thinks they are likely to launch service at all? And WHEN is Westjet or AM gonna arrive? Via isn’t even hiring for RDU like it is for PIT and other stations it has opened. I doubt you’ll see them other than charters. They ...Jump to post

Interesting, so based in Houston serving secondary markets. I like it!Jump to post
TUS is a tough go for non traditional markets starting in May and running through October. That said, UA has run TUS-ORD daily on SkyWest year-round with UA mainline running in the heavy sun run months. It does create an issue for loyal UA fliers trying to go beyond DEN, ORD, IAH as the frequency a...Jump to post
Hey Guys I talked to some some DL RDU personnel and they said AMS will happen, it's just a matter of when. Thoughts? I'll believe it when I see it. What DL personnel did you speak with? I talked to Customer Service Agents and a CSR Manager, I also talked to a Ramp agent. None of those individuals c...Jump to post
Apologies if this is a double post, Trump has ground all MAX aircraft in the US, with the ones en route continuing to their destination.

Top is often used where it makes no sense. Rant over.
I did not see a thread going, but the top 10 busiest airports for ops has been released. ATL is no longer at the top! The top ten ranked US airports by operations in 2018 were: 1. O'Hare, 903,747 operations 2. Atlanta (ATL), 895,502 3. Los Angeles (LAX), 707,833 4. Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), 667,213 5...Jump to post
I'm surprised as to why YVR-MCO or YVR-FLL can't work with the A220? Do people in Vancouver just go down to SEA and fly to Florida? Living in YVR, it is much easier to get a direct to AZ or SOCA instead of spending 13+hours trying to get to southern Florida. AS does fly direct to FLL from SEA, but ...Jump to post
Not sure UA is considering a SE Hub or SE Focus City. Location/economy/population/runways/etc....the only candidates would be: SDF, MEM, BHM, GSO. Of those SDF is the strongest. (UPS Worldport is there for one reason: Location.) This thread has gone wild. Do you really think UA would make SDF a Foc...Jump to post

The only airline that is willing to grow both regionally and internationally for RDU, currently, is DL. As they continue to expand at DTW and ATL, why would they add regional aircraft here where demand is much lower? It makes much more sense to funnel pax through DTW or ATL before going TATL than a...Jump to post

I was at their inaugural flight, seemed full and everyone was very excited! Unfortunately, as mentioned above, one of the flight attendants said that CLT was not prepared for the language barrier and/or the celebrations taking place. Seemed a bit odd, but atleast it made it!Jump to post
LAA flight attendants are now advertising the credit card. When the LUS flight attendants start becoming hit or miss regarding PDBs we will know the flight attendants are fully integrated. As for airplanes, once Project Oasis is complete most of the fleet will be standardized. What is the timeline ...Jump to post
Is Via pulling out completely or just on this route? What about Parkersburg, St.Augustine, and Sanford? Parkersburg is too. Contour's got that. The FL ones are still going to be flown. Just got word that Contour is adding TPA-CLT to connect with that BKW flight. I’ll post a link when I can. Is Cont...Jump to post
LOL!!! JAL is not coming to IND. They don't even fly to Oneworld hubs like PHL, CLT & PHX that have more O&D, as well as much, much more connecting feed. Perhaps you need to speak with the Commerce Secretary and let him know because apparently he and other officials are negotiating with car...Jump to post
To add to that, would be the LUS first then the LAA 321? Where are they starting with these retrofits? Getting tired of flying CLT/PHL-SEA/PHX/LAX on these horrific 321s. Still starting in February. LUS planes are getting done first, starting with the oldest planes first. Thank goodness, this made ...Jump to post
Flew the CLT-TUS route twice this year and the plane was jam packed. Sad to see this come to an end.Jump to post
Most people from the area already use MSY (sometimes IAH). People will drive to avoid the connection Well yeah, if your destination is LHR, FRA, YYZ, PTY, etc. Anywhere else, MSY isn't going to really save you a cnnx, unless you're going to some obscure Euro-city that BA serves but DL/UA doesn't-- ...Jump to post

MSY doesn't have the business to justify an AC flight from YUL. Yeah, people were saying the same thing about LHR before BA announced MSY. One of the big drivers could be the new A220 line in Mobile, but MSY already has more O&D than RDU to YUL. Now given the distance, I would expect either les...Jump to post
So AC just announced YUL-RDU, a market that was smaller than YUL-MSY according to the stats posted a while back. Hopefully we are next in line. Im sure that has somewhat to do with the much shorter flight time from Raleigh to Montreal compared to NOLA. Close to half the time, no? Roughly 45 minutes...Jump to post

I wonder if a taxiway can be built to access terminal E without having to go past terminals A, B, C,and D. That has been a bottleneck for a long time that causes such a long wait for aircraft going to terminal E. Reminds me of an area I lived in that was adding new housing subdivisions on both side...Jump to post
How about NK CLT-ORD, MCO, FLL, LAS, LAX!??? CLT is located in the only major metropolitan area in the contiguous U.S. that doesn't have nonstop service to LAS on WN or a ULCC, and it is unusual for a market such as CLT to not have nonstop service to LAS on WN or a ULCC. There is room for F9 or WN ...Jump to post
