I wish this is something the American carriers would heed. Windows are closed for the entire flight every time I fly now. Very unsafe if there was an emergency. Jeremy But they are always opened before landing, as required by regulations. They only close it during cruise. No impact on safety there....

I certainly would prefer to inhale oxygen from a mask instead over smoky cabin air. But, it’s not a smoke mask, it won’t seal on your face, so you’re going to inhale smoke.
