Re: Go Around weird timing - Video

Someone commented under the video on Youtube that the captain explicitly says to "keep configuration", I guess it's at 0:16. There must be a reason other than just them being busy flying.

Re: BR Flight Attendant Subjected to Unreasonable Requests by Disabled Pax of Size

Wrong, wrong, wrong! Let’s cut out the PC nonsense, shall we? The passenger was fat, plain and simple! Yes, most people who are fat or obese are responsible for their bulk. Claiming a disability because of being fat or obese is such nonsense and is merely a crutch to gain special treatment. This pa...

Re: BR Flight Attendant Subjected to Unreasonable Requests by Disabled Pax of Size

This is only occasionally true. Usually, it's the person's fault. I'm a little overweight myself and I can guarantee you it is completely my fault. This guy is just a disgusting asshole. He violated the flight attendant who definitely went above and beyond the call of duty. Some people just have no...

Re: BR Flight Attendant Subjected to Unreasonable Requests by Disabled Pax of Size

Being "of size" is nobody's fault. And if it becomes a disability then society needs to provide all the possible care to ensure that the person with that disability can travel safely and comfortably wherever and whenever he/she wants. This is only occasionally true. Usually, it's the pers...

Re: BR Flight Attendant Subjected to Unreasonable Requests by Disabled Pax of Size

Perhaps this person requires someone accompanying and assisting him during his travels, but let's refrain from judging or calling him a creep if we don't know about the exact circumstances of the facts related. Being "of size" is nobody's fault. And if it becomes a disability then society...

Wait wait wait. Lots of assumptions in the original post, we are not MDs and even if we are we haven't seen the pan nor assisted to the scene. Maybe the aircraft toilets were not big enough to let him do everything by himself (in comparison to those of the airport). Perhaps this person requires som...

Re: BR Flight Attendant Subjected to Unreasonable Requests by Disabled Pax of Size

Being "of size" is nobody's fault. That is absolutely not true. If someone is morbidly obese, it's their own fault. They're the one who crammed the food down their face and didn't manage their diet and caloric intake properly. A large number of diseases is provoked by people's behavior. B...

EI-WLA mainly flies between FCO and GRU, but was used on the FCO-JFK route last summer. It's feen ferried to Abu Dhabi on the 9th of January (probably for maintenance?).

It's very common, I've seen it many times as pax, sometimes you can observe it for quite long periods of time when the aircraft flies not very high above the clouds

Well not really... whilst I don't like the name myself, this is probably meant to sound a little like "jeune", which means "young" in French. Pronunciation is really close.

Re: Pax urinates on other pax on ANA flight

Banning intoxicated passengers from flying and limiting the number of drinks (to one for example?) would be beneficial for everybody except those selling alcoholic beverages and airline tickets , almost as forbidding smoking is. FIxed it for you. Haha thank you :D Drinks were actually free on board...

Re: Pax urinates on other pax on ANA flight

I was recently on a 4-hour night flight (LH from Frankfurt to Beirut) and could not sleep five minutes because of two drunk young ladies in the row just in front, who kept moving, laughing and trying to talk to me, and yet getting more wine from the f/a every time they asked. But they were doing no...

Re: Pax urinates on other pax on ANA flight

I wouldn't go as far as saying that flights should be alcohol-free, but there could be policies concerning the max number of drinks people are allowed to have during the flight, for security and safety reasons. Personally, I think people should be denied boarding or deplaned if evidently altered du...

Re: Should Airport employees have mental evaluations before starting work?

Honestly : no. Come on, in the majority of jobs you can do something which would do physical or psychological harm to a small or big number of people. Doctors and medical personnel...teachers....lawyers... if you're a truck mechanic you have access to a potentially dangerous machine. We mentally eva...

Re: UA FA mocks passenger who reported masturbating neighbor

The F/A reacted that way probably because they are experienced ones, and they know that making a fuss on a plane for (almost) nothing is not useful to anyone. Because yes, this guy did not have to wank in public, but he was not doing harm or molesting anyone, for disturbing this act may be, especial...

If we talk of fares and services provides, I wonder what's the difference today between low cost and majors. I can talk about Europe, where I regularly fly Air France, British, KLM or Lufthansa because their fares are very competitive with those proposed by EasyJet for example. Other times low cost ...

Re: IBERIA´s New Cabin and Ground Crew Uniform (2019)

It looks too gender stereotyped, like out of 1992. We are in 2018; they should design more gender-neutral uniforms. What??? I do think female staff have the right to wear pants-I think we’ve moved beyond the point of expecting female flight attendants to show their legs and skin. I believe IB curre...

That's a shame ! How is one supposed to arrive at the airport by his/her own means ? People should get off the cars before the drop off area and don't accept this shame

Taking my uncle and autie to the airport with my parents...I was aged 7 or so, and I remember being completely impressed by the way planes would "slowly" point their nose and lift up to the sky. Since then, I never have enough of it !

Re: The Public's View on Flight Attendants

I think we're all aware here that the job is a balance between safety and service. Back in the days companies would look for certified nurses to become FAs, now in the requirements/job description they focus very much on experience and background in customer relation and service. I think that to be ...
