RE: FlipHD Flash Mounted

I mount my Flip on the top of my D80 with a piece of velcro, some tape, and an eraser. The eraser props it up a bit and the velcro lets me detach it to put both the cameras into their respective cases. It's a bit floppy sometimes, but it does the job, and lets me get video like this: <a href="http:/...

RE: How Did You Become Interested In Aviation?

There wasn't one event, I guess, but I can't say its in my blood either. Only one distant relative of mine was a pilot, and I never met him. I really don't know where it came from, or how the bug bit me. I've just always had a fascination with the sky. I remember plastering my face against the airpo...

I've found the email addresses... I kinda meant how to present the image/story. Given that it is time-sensitive do I give them the full image and expect them to honor my copyright or do I give them a small watermarked version? How To Contact News Organizations With Photo

I have a (locally) newsworthy set of photos of a Cessna 404 gear-up landing an hour and a half ago that, as far as I'm aware, was not covered by the usual TV helicopters etc. I'm wondering how to contact the local newspaper or <acronym title="Virgi...

Wow! Very nice! I'm getting much more convinced.

What's the sweet-spot aperture wise for the 300? What kind of shutter speeds would you expect to get with that f-stop at an average sunny day airshow?

I've had the same experiences with Nikon D80, very frustrating when you try to shoot Mil. jets. Even as fast as 1/500 is too slow, and faster speeds give slight blur around the plane's extremities.
