Re: Boeing 747-400 Passenger Fleet Tracking/Retirements Thread 2019

Asiana has 2 744pax, HL7418 (Sep 1994) and HL7428 (Jun 1999) HL7418 is to retire in Sep 2019. Korean law bans 25yo passenger fleet and that's why one Asiana 767 was retired earlier this year. No info for the other one. I'm booked on an Asiana 744 flight early next year. Do you think Asiana ...

Re: New Orleans Aviation Thread - 2019

All airports are required to report financial data to the FAA through CATS (Certification Activity Tracking System). This data must be submitted by the end of June. Cost per enplanement can be found in this data. https://cats.airports.faa.gov/Reports/reports.cfm After going through the list of FAA ...

Re: Southern African & Indian Ocean Aviation Thread - 2019

Are there any official numbers out there on the JFK-JNB-JFK route? Load factors/pax numbers? I've always wondered about this route's performance. Not meant to be a trip report but wanted to say a few things. Just returned from a trip to CPT on SAA (JFK-JNB-CPT). Overall flights good on SAA but 340-6...

Grabbed a LGW-YUL flight this summer to check off this aircraft before it's gone.

I'm hoping to do the same on YYZ-YUL-YYZ before it's too late.

Re: United Airlines "Evolution" to Globe Livery coming in April

The hint has been right in front of us all along via the IFE screens (Blue on Blue Globe).
IMHO, a respectable and elegant refresh IMHO. The naysayers, keep in mind, this could have gone the way of China Eastern.

Could the Blue-on-Blue IFE/United Polaris signage be a subtle hint? https://3rxg9qea18zhtl6s2u8jammft-wpengine.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/united-polaris-1.jpg https://i0.wp.com/thepointsguy.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/P9080238-1.jpg?fit=1024%2C1024px&ssl=1

Re: Central American Aviation Thread - 2019

Avianca took delivery of their brand new ATR-72s in 2014 roughly. I doubt if some tiny routes attended by these turbo-planes could support the E90s or 319s, like AV SAL-RTB 7x weekly. Or GUA - Flores, or sometimes even Tegucigalpa - San Salvador. I also think the ATR´s were the perfect choice for m...

Re: UA to begin 787 flying at EWR

What about EWR-AMS? Is that a premium-heavy route? As expected, given the range and capacity of that aircraft. To pabloeing, EWR-MAD seems like a fair bet, although maybe not right away during the slower winter season (763 or 764 might be better suited until the summer high season). I could also see...

Hi there, will there be a 'edit photos in album' function anytime soon like it used to be on the old site?
I'd also like to delete, add, change the order of photos which was possible before the re-lauch of the site.

Thanks,
Loran

I'm also waiting on this feature to return.
Any updates?
