Noticed an interesting departure from PWM this morning. An old WN 733 (N636WN) flying PWM - KEF. Anyone know anything about this??

Globally the percentage of people who have never flown is MUCH higher than 5%. I would say at least 30% of the world's population.

I would also be interested in knowing how many people have only flown once in their life (to emigrate)

On a note on the expanded CLT. PWM-CLT 3X A-319. seems like PWM-CLT is 3x daily A319 indefinitely after mid-December. Big bump in capacity. Also looks like PWM-PHL is staying at 6x daily through the winter, with 2 daily mainline flights. Overall, it seems like AA is really pushing to grow at PWM. D...

As noted in another thread, CapeAir is starting PWM-BOS In September. A bit funny that Portland got BOS service before BTV I know the BTV management is laser-focused on getting a Delta CRJ to serve that route. Browsing around Wikipedia, I noticed that AirNamibia's only long-haul destination is FRA. Namibia was of course a German colony until 1918. Depends on the airline. An all-Y model works wonders for WN and FR, but long haul Carriers like EK and SQ treat Y as a way to "fill the plane"

Although I will say that there is a segment of users on this forum who seem to have an active disdain for Y travelers.

Re: WOW Ceases Operations

Here's betting that most of those who say people shouldn't fly if they're on a right budget are no doubt the same type who pretend to look out for those less well off. It makes them look good online but we all know they detest the poor. I tend to agree, I do think that there is an active segment of...

Re: WOW Ceases Operations

Norwegian next please! Why?? What's good about any airline collapsing?? What's good about thousands of employees losing their jobs and airfares becoming more expensive? As someone who loves to travel but has to do it on a librarian's salary, low-cost carriers are the best thing that's ever happened...

On F9 in their infamous drop-down leaks, BTV is showing RSW and PNS, no dates are pulling yet though.

BTV - PNS?? even by F9 dartboard standards that seems like a very risky route. Might just be filler loaded into the schedule?? (like PSM-ATL was back in November)

Re: The Rest of New England (BDL/PVD/MHT/PWM/ORH/BTV/HVN/BGR) - 2019

After five years in Boston I’ll be moving back to the Portland area this spring...I’ve enjoyed my time in BOS (particularly as an avgeek and airline passenger with the variety of international routes) but am a Mainer at heart and am glad to be returning. I’d like to try a couple of PWM F9 flights t...

Interestingly, F9 carried more pax out of PWM in November and December than they did in July and August. A good indication that the winter Florida routes are performing well. F9 2018 origin pax numbers from Portland Jul- 3,465 Aug - 5,579 Sept- 4,460 Oct- 5,883 Nov- 5,853 Dec- 6,013

Re: The Rest of New England (BDL/PVD/MHT/PWM/ORH/BTV/HVN/BGR) - 2019

BTV off to a solid start in February (pax up 9% YOY) despite AA's cuts and downgauging. https://www.boarddocs.com/vt/burlingtonvt/Board.nsf/files/BAERLW61ED1E/$file/Passanger%20and%20Operational%20Statistics.pdf The main concern is B6. They're continuing to decline and lose market share. I'm not su...
