Re: Oregon Aviation Thread - 2019

With all of this new development, I wonder if the POP plans to extend CC-D at some point and build a three-level international arrival/ departing expansion ?? There are seven international gates so there is plenty of capacity for international flights. CC-D was designed to be expanded at some point...

Re: Oregon Aviation Thread - 2019

The other discussion that hopefully has already started at the Port of Portland is extending and/or expanding the D concourse. YES! This is very much needed, and would significantly help the port to attract more long-haul international flights. If they were to make concourse D as long as concourse ...

Re: Oregon Aviation Thread - 2019

The other discussion that hopefully has already started at the Port of Portland is extending and/or expanding the D concourse. The current projects will further help PDX become an even better airport, and focuses on the 95% of domestic passengers that fly through there each year. They already have ...

Re: Oregon Aviation Thread - 2018

I emailed the port of portland today, begging for a PDX-ICN flight on Korean or Delta. Europe gets the love (and, yeah, I'm sure 3x the travelers).... but Asia is tough now. I mentioned a few posts ago, I booked a PDX-SEA-PEK... because the NRT flight doesn't connect to PEK anymore. I'm now looking...

Re: Oregon Aviation Thread - 2018

This is great news for PDX! The Port recently published an article regarding holiday travels and they project the numbers to be at 19.9 million passengers for 2018. (almost to 20!!) I have it coming up about 50,000 short. If JetBlue hadn’t cut the second LGB flight and Icelandair hadn’t ended the s...

Re: Oregon Aviation Thread - 2018

I do not understand the SW thing at all. I relocated to PDX in August and have been commuting to MCI and DAL since. The early morning RON flights are packed. Most flights during the day seem to do fairly well, even in the off season time in late September and October. Looks like Southwest is ending...

Re: Oregon Aviation Thread - 2018

I did some looking around on the internet and all I saw on the PDX expansion is adding gates to Concourse E and moving WN. https://katu.com/news/local/pdx-previews-project-to-add-6-gates-first-concourse-expansion-in-20-years New Parking Garage and Rental Car Center Info: https://popcdn.azureedge.ne...

Re: Oregon Aviation Thread - 2018

https://www.oregonlive.com/expo/news/erry-2018/07/bb7b6a36253702/whats_the_best_airport_in_the.html I do not like what they have done with the food court. And that Aero Moka went away is even sadder. Does anyone know if Laurel is still there? She was the manager of the Aero Moka in the center of th...
