I believe this is likely to be the final outcome of the LCC and FSC. Similar to USA, where in economy you pay for luggage, meal and your seat, while you enjoy premier facilities in the business class. Indian FSC will finally evolve to the same model as they compete with LCC more and more.

Is there any chance of AI ordering additional 787'S in the next year, either direct purchase or lease? I think a combination of 789'S and 78J'S would allow AI to reduce their 77W fleet and allow AI to offer the right size of capacity to meet route demands. The long layover of BI at Tokyo is not the best usage of plane. Most of BI planes though stay around at airport for many hours (London, Melbourne, Bali)
They could maximize utilization of aircraft by launching newer routes and expand their one-stop product.

Kuala Lumpur is an interesting destination for Indigo. Air India could not make it work nor with Air Indian Express. Malaysian carriers dominate these routes due to extensive onward connections. If pricing is right, Indigo can make it work. There is quite a big Indian disapora in Malaysia

The current 787s do not have rest facilities since the crew changes at Dubai. I am guessing the new 787s will have crew rest facilities.
