Hope they have ample turn times. That's a lot of folks to load/off load when you're new and probably contracted out. Looking at their published schedule, it looks like their turn times are ~40 minutes, which I believe is similar to WN. WN is closer to an hour now (like the legacies) but some 35/45 ...

saying “they should only bring in the best candidate” is a low key negative implication that a company lowers hiring and qualification standards to bring in women or minorities , which I hope is never the case. United's had 30 inch pitch on aircraft for years. American had it on the A319, CRJ-700, and more before Oasis. So I don't get why everyone bitches about AA like their cabins are a unique problem.

I don't get your complaint. For a random date in the beginning of May (Sunday, May 2), I see 1x JFK-PWM on Delta, 2x LGA-PWM on Delta, and 2x EWR-PWM on United.

A lot of other cities don't have these readily available choices right now. So yeah, you've got options.

Anecdotal point regarding NK pricing:
I'm looking to fly STL-FLL and back May 27-30. Southwest and Spirit have near identical flight times (though of course WN has two flights a day to NK's one).
Roundtrip pricing:
Spirit is $160
Southwest is $390 (lowest)

I was in SLC yesterday. Delta was initially not cancelling flights to DEN but cancelled them all mid-afternoon, right as I arrived from STL. As I was walking to bag claim, I saw some 100-150 people in a line trailing from the Delta customer service desk.
