Flew through DTW for the first time yesterday in the RJ concourse. Anyone know why the southern 10 B gates aren't currently being used? That part of the concourse is opened, but the restaurants are all shuttered. Also, the lower level C gates look to be getting very little use at all.

Honestly, I think the answer to EAS in the current crewing crisis facing specifically regional airlines, the lack of new built aircraft with efficiencies to serve these and other factors is for the Federal Government to tie slotting at high demand/high revenue airports to service at the EAS cities....

Last time I went through SAN (to KOA on Southwest in December), I noticed that there's a disused ground-level gate beyond security, called Gate 11C. It was quite a calm area to sit. Does anyone know the last time it was used?

Also, the Gates 1-2 checkpoint has been walled off.

Does SAN-KOA on Southwest even run outside Christmas and Spring Break? Because I took it in December and looked in January and it didn't appear to be running that month (same with SMF-KOA). Outside of HNL, Southwest doesn't look very consistent with their SAN-Hawaii schedules.

As another poster said, it often depends on where you are in line during a big bank. At CLT, taxi times can easily go to 30-40 minutes in such banks.
