The only thing that matters is ...are there customers willing to pay real $$ for enough aircraft to start the program? I still have my doubts. Who especially, are the launch customers? I'll set down my marker here, so I can be embarrassed by it later. This is my guess for NMA launch (both carriers ...Jump to post
@lightsaber, it's incredible to think that CFM are producing 14 engines a week! That's a amazing achievement in my eyes, alas, I don't know how long it takes to build an engine. Any insight on that timescale? As for Airbus slowing down - that's not an option and I don't see it happening what so eve...Jump to post
Are there any A330's, 787's or even newer 767's available for lease to help expedite the departure of the old 767's? As much as I loved flying AA's 767s on milelage-runs and trips, they just need to be retired sooner than the current retirement date. The sorry condition of those planes is a poor im...Jump to post

Coughing and experiencing high temperature seems like air born transmitted disease. If it is food poisoning coming from say 1 out of 3 main courses, why only 10 people? That's why people are skeptical of Emirates' initial claim of food poisoning. The passenger who posted that onboard video told the...Jump to post

Funny how DL continues to invest in its product even in steerage (PTVs, improved meals), yet dougie just cuts cuts cuts. No wonder DL's market cap is double that of AA, and with a worthless FFP too. DL Market cap is not 2x AAs because of PTVs. What is the obsession with IFE on this site. AA has a l...Jump to post
AD has daytime flights into MCO from VCP and CNF. I flew the CNF-MCO in April. I think there were just two empty seats in all of economy. Seemed like mostly O&D traffic. Just two other people connected off the early morning from EZE with me. I took AD specifically because I wanted a daytime fli...Jump to post

This all could have been easily avoided if they'd just kept the 757 line open and updated it! Agreed. The whole MAX stuff I'm seeing is proof that the 737 MAX 10 is as far as the 737 design can go. So the aircraft that is comparatively overpowered, is comparatively overbuilt, has a very tight econo...Jump to post

Well, in diplomacy lots of things are crimes that are usually not.
I am pretty sure ambassadors have been PNGed for less.
Persona Non Grata for those wondering. Means that the host country wants that person out of the country
No professional in his right mind is falling for this Brexit panic mongering. You're the one that's bringing up panic. As of this moment there is no aviation agreement between the UK and EU. Until there is planners will have to account for any situation, that's only professional. As of yesterday, H...Jump to post
Wait since when is QF looking to dump the whale? I thought Sunrise was only about SYD/MEL/BNE-JFK/Europe non-stop. Anyway, I feel this one will go to Boeing. The 777X has the same type rating as their 787s, and, if they're looking to dump the A380, then the -9 would be a better replacement than the...Jump to post

Have there been many instances where having an air marshal has helped? It seems a primarily US/third world thing. It seems like an expensive and probably unnecessary program in the days of secure flight decks and extensive security screening before boarding. that "extensive screening" let...Jump to post

I'm glad someone is adding screens. After doing a tcon flight on UA where 1 leg was on a newly refurbished PS aircraft and the other on one without screens, the difference between watching a movie on a real screen and watching it on my 3" phone screen is staggering. UA and AA will be just fine...Jump to post
AA definitely codeshares BA 744s, I literally just rode one I agree they do - my point [which might not have been clear] is that BA codeshare on flights operated by AA, and as AA have no 747s the JFK flights flown by AA metal, and which will come up as options on the BA website won't be 747s. ah my...Jump to post
In my near 40 years as an aviation enthusiast, I've yet to take a 747 trip, all my long haul has been on 767's and A330's, even a DC-10 or two. I'd like to book a BA LHR-JFK trip sometime in the near future to get that off the bucket list. Can anyone recommend flight numbers or times that guarantee...Jump to post
I don't understand why can't they just switch seats? They can just move one of them towards the front of the cabin and one towards the aft! It looks like a 737 flight, and even if it is a combi flight, there should be enough distance between them. I felt bad for the girl because flights to these re...Jump to post

They're performing the worst of the big three in terms of growth, but as long as they're turning multi-billion dollar profits year over year, they're not going anywhere anytime soon.
