Wouldn't the plain, simple truth about factoring in the number of safe flown passenger miles be an actual way to determine who's the "safest" airline to fly? It's like the US's most-delay prone airlines articles...and somehow Hawaiian Airlines is practically rated as the least delayed :lol:

At times they do send the 739 into OGG but it seems that it's not ideal. As you pointed out, the runway in OGG is way shorter than HNL or KOA so that makes a difference; there's probably zero concern going east but going west, especially in the winter I'm sure there are some penalties for the 739. QX seems to be moving the Q400s almost entirely out of California by the fall and SMF-PSP is probably pretty far down a very long list for added E175 service. I think SMF could support MCI, FLL, and maybe DTW. Interestingly, one place that isn't served nonstop is PSP. You have to fly into ONT and drive or make a connection in SFO, LAX, or LAS to get there from SMF.
