Re: DHL Network & Fleet Thread - 2020

Answered one of my own questions...N557CM and another of the ATI 757s are sitting at ILN with both engines yanked. Good parts source for the combis. Note that the ABX 767 behind this one is being parted out as well. I didn't get a tail number for that one. Any guesses? https://i.imgur.com/vlXUCDbh.j...

It appears that my last post in this thread has become lost in cyberspace, so I'll try it again... What sort of relationship exists between Northern Air Cargo, DHL, and ATI? Re: DHL Network & Fleet Thread - 2020

There was a Northern Air Cargo 737 (N401YK) covering ELP a few weeks back if I'm not mistaken. Last week N403YK was hanging out on the CVG ramp during daylight hours as well. Looks like it is currently running on another former 757 route, CVG-MEM. Is there a relationship of some sort between ATI and...

Re: DHL Network & Fleet Thread - 2020

A few questions about days gone by: From what I've read, Airborne Express made a fairly big deal about the fact that they did in-house conversions. When did they stop those conversions? When were 747s introduced into the DHL network? It was after the ILN-to-CVG move, correct? ...and what is the deal...

Thanks for the compliments - and as of today, there is yet another 747 from AirBridgeCargo to add to the list: VQ-BGZ.

I've noticed that KII has opted to put the "operated by" decals on the tail of N311GT, as opposed to where Southern had them on the nose.

Something else to ponder: what will become of the four 757s that were retired in favor of the new 738s? Any chance that Cargojet picks them up?

Interesting to see ATI operating a 767 for DHL. To my knowledge, the only aircraft they operated for them were their three 757s (N531UA, N605DL and N620DL, of which the latter two seem to be retired). Always found it unusual how small that operation was given the size of their AMZ operation.
