Re: The Rest of New England (BDL/PVD/MHT/PWM/ORH/BTV/HVN/BGR) - 2019

So that puts PWM 71,000 passengers ahead of 2018's counts through June. With Cape Air starting service in September the final end of year numbers will be through the roof!

Thanks for the explanation airlineworker. So with the new length and threshold limitations, would a 717 or the new A220 have enough room to operate?

Re: The Rest of New England (BDL/PVD/MHT/PWM/ORH/BTV/HVN/BGR) - 2019

So is it an accurate calculation that the runway in HVN will increase in length from 5600' to 7000' with no overruns? And will the lack of overruns have any limitations on the actual landing thresholds? How does John Wayne Airport handle 757's and other smaller mainline aircraft with a 5700' runway?...

Impressive research VS4ever. If MHT continues to decline in the future, we may eventually see BVT catch up to it in passenger counts. Don't think anyone would have predicted this turn of events over a decade ago. After the morning push the terminal must be eerily quiet with the exception of the Sout...

Re: The Rest of New England (BDL/PVD/MHT/PWM/ORH/BTV/HVN/BGR) - 2019

Thats good news for PWM. May was the one month where the passenger count was actually expected to be less than last years due to the lack of JetBlue service until June. Looks like the Jetport is on track for a modest gain (4-6%) over CY1018's record numbers. The renovated baggage claim approach area...

I think it's a mix of both Portsmouth and Worcester due to the close proximity. However, if the runway can eventually be lengthened to around 6500' it is possible it can become a viabl...

Got a tour of the construction site at PWM last week. ^ That sounds like a good estimate. BTV had 578,000 enplanements in 2017, an 8% increase would get Burlington to around 625,000 enplanements for last year. That would put the combined enplanements/deplanements close to your figure. Looks like BTV's record was 700,000 enplanements during 2009, so las...
