If Latam declares bankruptcy, their 20% equity stake would make them a creditor. That said, I don't necessarily agree with the logic. DL is trying to cut cash burn and reduce fleet growth. That's likely the reason to walk away from the new a350s for now. EDIT - Latam has declared bankruptcy. So DL i...Jump to post

I'll be flying TK for first time on my first visit to Turkey in April. It's FRA-IST in business on A330. I'm unsure of seats and their website is vague. Some places mention fully lie flat and other mentions angle lie flat. Can anyone confirm? Btw, it's A333 to IST and A332 return.Jump to post
To hell with this. I won't be flying on anything that does not have windows (not screens). Exactly! And we thought 10 across was bad...LOL No one thought 10 abreast is bad ....people love the A380. In general, I like the AA brand refresh and dimensions on the various planes. If they could make the tail have less lines on it so it's not so busy and put something on the winglets so they're not blank, I'd be happy. I actually liked the "AA.COM" on old scheme winglets. Even a red or blu...Jump to post

Thankfully no red! But just my humble opinion.
LOVE IT!!! Why blue on the engine though? Looks like an after thought. Great work!

I’m surprised that AA is returning to TLV. I thought the whole reason why AA pulled out after the US merger was because they didn’t want to pay the pension obligations for the former TWA employees who are there. It was discussed in this thread a few months ago: https://www.airliners.net/forum/viewt...Jump to post
I just don't see what upside there is to wasting political capital on QR/IG, both hemorrhaging money. The consumer is certainly not on the US3' side, and now it sounds like neither is the government, so well done all around. Well, there are other more pressing matters in the ME and we need as many ...Jump to post

CAN it be scaled down? ...of course it can. With enough time/money, you can do anything in aviation. But that's the wrong question. The question should be: would a scaled-down 787 be the optimal design for that market mission ? THAT is a far more pertinent thing to be asking, and the one that Boein...Jump to post
What is the definition of a ‘hub’ and ‘focus city’? I understood hub meant it was having aircraft and crew based in a city. But SFO has AA crew based there and it’s not a hub. don't know why they kept on failing in HKG while AA as a late entrance can be successful in LAX & DTW. They have relatively good services and product images in HKG (compared to other US3). Absolutely stunning! The A330 looks great as well but compared to the A350 I just think it looks a bit old fashioned now. That said the larger engines do improve its looks.[/quote] Completely agree. I still need to fly on one. Im not a fan of the A380, but it is a engineering marvel being able to get that big ass plane in the air! Im not an Airbus guy but it really is a treat to ride in an A380! I saw one at DFW while driving down International Parkway. Quickly glancing at it, looked like the tail is all black with the MESA logo in white.
