- IST is designated as a military zone. IIRC, 2 miles radius from the outside perimeter. So no taking pictures, no spotting. At this point still no pictures on a.net database. That's really sad to hear. What harm can spotters do, really? I guess we all have been spoiled by the steady stream of phot...

How many pilots does that make for 11 aircrafts? I assume SX pays for their hotels in Antalya. Those are some lucky people having an entire summer stay on the beaches of Antalya and also getting money in their pockets!

SunExpress is operating its first A320 today. It has hired 11 A320 from Avion Express for this summer and is expanding to 84 planes. I suppose the crew is wet leased? I still cant use the iDeal option to buy a ticket on TK's website.. I had the same issue last summer. Anyone know how to solve this? The customer service agents didnt understand what I was talking about..

Boeing CEO is coming to Turkey for talks with Thy Chairman in regards of the Max issue and a possible compensation. They want this solved before the end of the summer.

I always wondered why americans in general dont visit European and Turkish holiday spots as much as Europeans, Russians, Arabs do? Is it because of the distance and they prefer closer destinations? I believe they mainly go to mexico, hawaii and places like bora bora but I never hear Americans vising...

A TK Captain flying on TK1675, May 10 witnessed a shining object in the sky, saying "Ive never seen something flying so fast.". The First Officer and Purser also witnessed it.

AtlasGlobal has put their 2nd A330 into service. The 3rd is at saw being painted.

Also according to Turkish news sources, ANA is in talks to start operations to the new airport!

One month doesnt make much sense. Does this mean that the aircraft wont even be painted in the SX colors? I expected it atleast to be 3 months, for the summer season.. What about the crew? Will they be wet leased from another company? Or trained specially for this new aircraft type?

I am surprised that nobody mentioned this yet but according to sources, Sun Express has leased a B747 Jumbo!!! The first 747 for commercial ops in Turkish history? They are to start operations next week, between Antalya and German destinations.

Saw a post today that WOW Air's TF-SKY A321N is going to Onur Air and is being painted in Malta right now.

AtlasGlobal has debuted its new crew outfits today. I kinda like it. Looks more modern and elegant.
