Re: Idaho Aviation - 2024

Spirit's two summer BOI-LAS flights leave barely a half hour apart. I don't know if one of these flights is up for cancellation or some cost saving measure. I guess they feel they can load up 300 people within an hour.

As noted before it is likely BOI passenger numbers will be flat or decline slightly as "revenge travel" ends, population growth slows/frozen real estate market, and the headwinds in the airline biz.

BOI-PDX 6x daily (+1)
BOI-PHX 2x daily (+1)
BOI-SMF 2x daily (+1)
All E175s

The resumption date for BOI-IAH has been delayed once again. UA made some changes to the summer it looks like: BOI-IAH cut as noted BOI-DEN 5x daily, all mainline BOI-SFO down to 3x daily, one mainline BOI-LAX now 2x daily, Skywest BOI-ORD 2x daily, one mainline upgauged to 738 I noticed Allegiant ...

From mid-March onward only full Y fares are available on UA BOI-ORD. As noted, this usually means flights are about to be scrapped. This would be a pretty shocking cut.

BoiseDev is reporting on continued airport improvements. AUS was always a little opportunistic from BOI, but I am surprised they can’t make BOI-ORD work even seasonally with the AA/oneworld connection opportunities at ORD.
