Re: PIT Update Discussion Thread - 2019

[*] Has anyone taken NK333 to LAS before? I’ve never flown NK before but have heard both good and bad stories from friends & family. Currently planning a flight LAS next month. Flight there was awful, mostly because I ended up next to a bunch of drunk & obnoxious passengers that the flight a...

Re: PIT Update Discussion Thread - 2019

The National B744 is now scheduled to depart for Frankfurt-Hahn at 0100, where the Atlas Air B763 from last Friday also went. https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/N8812 National parked in Qatar’s spot next to UPS after it landed. I wonder where QR had to park after arriving from ORD tonight.....

Re: PIT Update Discussion Thread - 2019

I completely forgot to mention (yet I don’t know how true this is) that WFS at PIT may not have proper equipment or any staff that have experience/training/certification associated with handling a B772 or even a B744. We can’t even have A380 diversions park at the terminal since there’s no towbar a...

Re: PIT Update Discussion Thread - 2019

It looked as if Qatar was going to 3x weekly flights, however 2 weeks into this new charter flight they have still only been flying 2x weekly. One on Tuesday running DOH-LUX-PIT-ORD and one Thursday running DOH-LUX-ORD-PIT. Let's not waste any more time on cyclical arguments. Awesome to see the 3rd ...

Re: PIT Update Discussion Thread - 2019

Looks like QR is adding a 3rd flight in to their summer schedule coming direct from LUX then going on to ORD. http://www.qrcargo.com/docs/02.Summer%2019%20Freighter%20Schedule%20Issue%202%20-%20Effective%201st%20May%202019%20to%2026th%20Oct%202019.pdf Very interesting. Its odd however that this fli...

Re: PIT Update Discussion Thread - 2019

It appears the PIT-LHR leg has had on-time departures so far. I believe the inaugural PIT-LHR pushed back 2 minutes late and tonight’s flight pushed back 4 minutes early. All things considered I would call this a surprise and successful considering other inaugural flights at PIT for widebodies ( Ch...

Re: PIT Update Discussion Thread - 2019

So I noticed that the Condor flight is later in the day than it was before.l, is this because of the British Airways flight coming in late? Because I remembered that all the international flights landed around the same time over the summer Probably to avoid the disasters of last summer since the gr...

Re: PIT Update Discussion Thread - 2019

WFS is a massive company, they are probably the biggest in Europe. They handle B6 QR and G4 at PIT as well as cargo services for various airlines such as delta and southwest and all the international airlines. Here’s an article about them, https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cnbc.com/amp/2018/06/19/glo...

Re: PIT Update Discussion Thread - 2019

WFS received the BA contract over TDA, have to say it’s a mild surprise but hopefully will be better for the BA experience at PIT.

Re: PIT Update Discussion Thread - 2019

The ACAA has nothing to do with who gets these ground contracts.....it just goes to tge lowest bidder. IINM, Trego overpromises and completely underdelivers. Agreed ACAA doesn’t get to pick who is servicing what airline, however the ACAA determines what companies can work at PIT. They can refuse to...

Re: PIT Update Discussion Thread - 2019

Word is Trego Dugan has some new Kloaders and pushbacks at PIT. Haven’t seen them yet, but this seems to confirm the rumors that Trego is going to be BA’s ground handler. On another note, what’s going on with WFS? Ever since Trego cane they got all the new passenger contracts and WFS has only has B6...

Doesn't appear to be reaching tonnage goal, but QR is apparently making money and planning to stick around after the initial year.

Re: PIT Update Discussion Thread - 2018

I would argue WFS isn't doing fantastic either. It takes so long to get my bags after coming back from BOS on B6. Plus they have been lost a few times and never made in on the plane in Pittsburgh. Baffles me how it can be so bad. I do understand that they have to be physically driven from airside t...

Re: PIT Update Discussion Thread - 2018

Are there any updates with QR hitting their cargo numbers? I too am wondering how they are doing both load wise and operationally. Seems like the ORD flight is less delay prone than the ATL flight was. Although today’s flight is arriving 10 hours late. Funny thing is the last QR flight was delayed ...
