I believe PVG-FRA is already being served by both CA and MU

Re: Lufthansa Polling On Which City To Send A380 To (ORD, SEA, TPA, DFW)

Maybe the "losers" in this poll are the cities being considered for the 2 new MUC routes and possible Eurowings routes that LH is going to be announcing. Maybe ORD for the A380, SEA and DFW get Munich, and TPA for Eurowings. DFW and SEA being the two new routes doesn't sound far fetched a...

I don't have a twitter account - can you see how many votes each city has gotten? Also, I'm assuming this would be a one-off flight?

Re: Lufthansa Group posts 1H loss on LCC competition, fuel costs

Actually I think most, if not all, TK narrowbodies are equipped with a dedicated business class product. Maybe you are confusing them with Sun Express or Anadoloujet which are flying around in an all economy class configuration. https://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Turkish_Airlines/information.php I'v...

Re: Lufthansa Group posts 1H loss on LCC competition, fuel costs

Yeah but TK also has many, many flights that are within two hours flying time. Look at their domestic and Balkan network and then there are destinations in Ukraine, the Middle East, North Africa... Maybe it also has to do with a reasonably priced product. LH one is way too overpriced for what you g...

Slap airline codes on every train and train station, and let pax connect to intercontinental flights from train to plane. Problem solved.

This is done to some extent in Germany with LH and Deutsche Bahn, I hope it does become more widespread

Re: Turkish Aviation May 2019

TK can't really complain: when they were still paying for their awards it was as much a joke as it is now and TK had no problem at all marketing their bought awards. You're absolutely right, and it was rather a general observation of how misleading it must be to most passengers rather than defendin...

I find it cool that DL's flight to FRA from JFK, DL401, carries the same flight number as one of LH's daily rotations from FRA to JFK, LH401

Re: Turkish Aviation May 2019

Wow...Skytrax really is a huge joke. Sad that they're taken as the main source for ratings Isn't it well known that they rate airlines according to the money that they receive from them? TK had ended their consultation agreement with them a while back. Probably in the aviation community, but when T...

Re: Air France will half it's A380 fleet

Wasnt the sole Reason for LH to shuffle some of the A380's an increased Premium Demand in MUC as opposed to FRA ? If im not mistaken, they switched over some of the lesser Premium configured A346 for the 380's to FRA. I wouldn't call it the sole reason. Lufthansa has been expanding generally from M...

Re: Air France will half it's A380 fleet

Any chance BA or LH would consider picking these frames up? Lufthansa has been shuffling around 5 of their A380s between FRA and MUC during the summer season, maybe with these aircraft they could keep their FRA A380 flights that they had previously and their new flights at MUC?

Re: Multi-airport cities: Best and worst airport-to-airport connections

Istanbul has got to be one of the most problematic locations should you wish to transfer airports. While it is technically possible to get near SAW from IST by public transport, it would require 2 metro line changes and then transfer onto a taxi or bus at the end of the line, taking at least 2.5 hou...
