Does anyone know how long it was after the landing until it was dockside and sank?

Re: Canada Jetlines the future WN of Canada?

I hope they do succeed. I'd like to see another large airline eventually come to Canada. So far, its AC vs WS vs TS. Even then, 2 of the 3 have over 100 planes.

I agree with the fleet plan of 350s, 777s, and 787s. I think it could work really well.

How long did flight 1549 stay afloat?

Hi. I don't know if this has been mentioned somewhere else, I searched but I couldn't find any topic concerning this. Anyone know how long it took US Airways Flight 1549 to be completely underwater?

Re: a MTOW increase on 787-10 to compete with A359?

There is just one thing I am wondering, someone else mentioned it before as well. The 350 is a 777 competitor. The 330 is a 787 competitor. Why would Boeing make a new type of 787, a 330 competitor, to compete with the 350, a 777 competitor?

Re: Lion Air 737MAX8 Crashed Jakarta to Pangal Pinang

Although extremely, extremely unlikely, perhaps this is a MS990 repeat, because of the random nosedives. Like many others, I have the same questions for how such a young plane could suddenly nosedive into the sea like flight 610 did.

By SomebodyInTLS's definition of a crash, this is a crash, as the aircraft is damaged beyond repair. http://aviation-safety.net/database/rec ... 20180928-0. Why are people arguing over whether this is a crash or not?

Re: Which plane to bring back to production?

The Ilyushin 62 is an amazing and interesting aircraft which I'd like to see come back to commercial service. They could modernize it, and (if possible) give it 2 engines instead of 4. I have heard that Ilyushin is considering a 2 engine IL-96, so maybe they could bring back the Il-86 but give it 2 ...

Re: What are the advantages and disadvantages of airlines having flagship planes?

Exactly, it seems that flagships are actually not good for airlines. An airline should just not consider a certain plane a flagship then.

Re: What are the advantages and disadvantages of airlines having flagship planes?

I understand what you are saying about iconic and unique aircraft in a fleet, but if a competitor has it, it looses it's individuality. Like, how in a few years, UAL will be getting A350s. DAL already has A350s. These are two airlines many people fly on, whether or not they like it, because they are...

Re: What are the advantages and disadvantages of airlines having flagship planes?

But wouldn't having a flagship just be advertising one aircraft? For example, Delta. Would it be possible that people could think that the A350 is highly advanced and fancy, but that the other aircraft are just decent? I don't see how that helps, considering the passengers would likely be flying on ...

Re: What are the advantages and disadvantages of airlines having flagship planes?

It seems the definition depends on the airline's thought of what a flagship is. For some airlines it may be the aircraft on an important routes. For others it may be the largest plane in the fleet. Perhaps the most iconic aircraft in the fleet in other cases. Maybe it could just be the airlines &quo...

What are the advantages and disadvantages of airlines having flagship planes?

What is the point of a "flagship"? Wouldn't having a "flagship" only advertise one type of airplane? In many cases, you would be on another plane of the same airline, so do airlines have flagship aircraft to advertise certain airports where they are popular?
