Re: Air Koryo and FNJ Thread - 2019

They have been doing that successfully with what they have now, I mean they flew as far as Kuwait until these increased were imposed on them. Flights to KWI use to make a fuel stop in China or Pakistan. I still think there is 3 main reason an IL-96 could be needed. To operate on the FNJ-PEK trunk r...

Re: KML/Air France Eyeing Delta focus cities

Why will anybody flying from Europe connect through SJC to fly to South Asia? They can just fly eastwards nonstop from Europe on AF/KL or take the more convenient connections on KE/CX/EK/QR/EY/SQ. And if you are talking about connecting in SJC, keep in mind people will have to apply for a US visa t...

Re: KML/Air France Eyeing Delta focus cities

If either airline is going to start at SJC, DL needs to add more flights and AF/KL need to make sure quick and stress free transit to South Asia is possible. Silicon Valley to South Asia is huge and if you give a cost efficient and easy option people will fly it Not quite sure I'm following the Sou...

That's so weird, on my flight from PPT-LAX on a TN a340 there was an older man on a stretcher next to us. Maybe it's a common occurrence?

As somebody from San Jose, the most Viet city outside of Viet Nam, I can confidently say no viet is gonna take this flight. It should've been non stop and from SGN to SFO.

I don’t think this route will do well. FrenchBee already has ultra low cost flights on the same route and with a connection to Orly, these flights are mostly full. But United is way more expensive and only picks up on American traffic.

I tried to book SFO-PPT on FrenchBee and it was totally full for a few weeks in a row! Note that this was for thanksgiving holidays and I was booking it a few months ago, it must be going really good!

Re: United to offer nonstop Service from San Francisco to Barcelona during MWC19

Could this eventually lead to a regular scheduled flight? I remember when Finnair flew SFO-HEL back in 2016 for a couple days due to the Slush conference in Helsinki. The following year Finnair started flights to SFO. Honestly I doubt it. LEVEL is starting that by the end of the month and Norwegian...

Countless flights are going in circles before landing and some are being sent to SJC. Did something happen up there?

Re: San Francisco Bay Area Aviation 2018

Such a shame CA is leaving but that route was never going to make money. It relied mostly on people flying between shanghai and San Jose, CA only has long haul connections at PVG do connections were hard. If an asian carrier started a flight that could easily connect between SJC and SGN, MNL, or DEL...

Re: [speculation] EVA air at SJC?

While I would love to see them at SJC, I just feel the likelihood is fairly low. With them increasing at SFO I don't see why they would suddenly pull a flight to take a chance on SJC. If they are increasing at SFO they presumably are doing well there and why fix something that isn't broken? Other a...

BR just went from 14x to 18x at SFO and then 18x to 21x at SFO a week. As much as I would like to see them at SJC, I would have expected them to do so before going 3x daily at SFO. Re: [speculation] EVA air at SJC?

Doesn’t CA pulling out of SJC indicate that it’s not as popular of a market to Asia as they’d hoped? If they couldn’t make it work out of SJC with a 787 and their dirt cheap fares then how could BR? CA pulled out because their 787 fleet was having problems, not because passenger count was low, they...

Re: [speculation] EVA air at SJC?

From what I’ve gathered it’s highly likely/coming very soon. The market to Asia from San José and the Bay Area in general is huge, if EVA starts flights I could see connections to Vietnam, India, and the Philippines (3 underserved yet huge routes for residents here). BR has 787s about to be delivere...

[speculation] EVA air at SJC?

(I’m new to this so please tell me if I’m doing something wrong)
I saw on a thread here (the Lufthansa SJC inauguration one) that EVA air was “hinting” to staff that one of their new Dreamliner’s destinations would be SJC. Is there any more proof? Rumors?
