One tidbit. During DPS inaugural events an Indonesian minister made a statement they are working with TK to open additional cities in the country. Suppose options could be Medan, Surabaya, etc but not really sure of what global demand is to these Surabaya could work as a seasonal destination couple...Jump to post
In addition to extra FLL frequencies, NK is resuming TPA on September 6, a month earlier than last season. Initially runs 3x weekly then goes 1x daily on November 14. I question credibility here, but there is also a rumor floating around that NK is looking at PIT-MSY. MSY would be a nice alternate ...Jump to post

http://visualapproach.io/most-expensive-airports-per-passenger/ I would argue CPE plays into profitability as well. The attachment shows the CPE at the top 50 airports. Here's how AA, DL and UA stack up: AA CLT: $3.19 ORD: $16.78 DFW: $9.50 LAX: $16.08 LGA: $18.68 JFK: $25.45 PHL: $13.08 PHX: $5.71...Jump to post

A few anecdotes from the above data: - Strong numbers for UA on SFO continue - An upgrade by DL to SLC is now overdue - AA surprisingly did really well to RDU in March. Let's see how they do against DL. - AS rebounded nicely after a brutal winter - BOS is a complete dumpster fire for DL - NK should...Jump to post
Does anyone know when they are going to move the plane because if they don't, it'd be a cool shot to have the 767, 777, and 787 all at the same spot I tried to get access to take pictures but customs wouldn’t allow it. I asked a couple of questions and my answers were shot down by operations person...Jump to post

Stuck at the airport now myself, any idea where it's parked?
Today, BA flew in G-ZBJA. Whilst looking at its recent flight history, I notices some interesting departure times from the US and Canada. Looking at the middle market cities it serves in NA, arrival times into LHR are interesting. I looked at 7 NA cities. I included BWI....not a middle market but s...Jump to post
MIA really doesn’t have the coverage that DFW and IAH has into Mexico (due to location). ATL has more coverage into Mexico than MIA. But AA has PHX to add additional coverage. With AM it allows DL passengers to get access into other markets that can’t handle a US carrier. Where as AA doesnt have a p...Jump to post
JetBlue brought in a A321 in this afternoon as a diversion. It was flying from SFO to BOS as B616 Was supposed to go into JFK. Got pics of him arriving, as well as DL1278 (B752) SLC-JFK. Total mess out here right now. Raining cats and dog and lightning everywhere. Ramp currently closed. MSP-LGA and...Jump to post
Why should we exclude the Philippines just because they have their own thread? It’s still a major part of Southeast Asia... Lets say that a new route is being launched between the Philippines and a Southeast Asian neighbour, shouldn’t that be posted here? Because the author excluded the Philippines...Jump to post
Here’s an interesting thought: Frontier’s new A321XLR would give the airline the ability to fly nonstop from Cleveland to Hawaii, opening up an incredible new market for the airline which has the potential to stimulate incredible demand. Just think: Cleveland travelers could instead choose to fly c...Jump to post
Looking at what F9 is doing in CLE with an impressive network of approximately 20 cities including up to double daily in markets such as MCO, TPA, RSW as well as 10x weekly to LAS I think their strategy in PIT is to have people drive to CLE. People are driving up there for F9 and it's the only reas...Jump to post

Which airports in New England do they fly to? I though PVD was/is one, but which others? BDL? I've never seen one in Boston or even in MHT (which is 3rd in New England based on tonnage). I think they pulled out of PVD in favor of BDL. Once they get more planes I think we’ll see another destination ...Jump to post

That’s a bit better than I expected. Cargo also up a good 10%
GSO Total passenger boardings were up 16.15% to 95,806 in May vs same month last year. It makes no sense to me at all, the reason why a airline would drop a route is due to; not enough people fly on that route, they could use that aircraft the better purposes, or to much compition. But none of this happing. 94% load factor is extremely high, they have plenty aircraft, and last there'...Jump to post
Does anyone know the current breakdown of the QF group A32S neo order? How does UA's PIT traffic compare to RDU? A cursory glance at routes, frequencies, and aircraft size seems that they're similar, and UA is building a lounge out down there. It would be awesome if G4 and NK came here to BFM. Have some doubt about G4 though since they serve GPT, but if they did it would need to be on different days than GPT as they are Wed and Sat only. I always assumed non-Star airlines would be moving en mass to PKX leaving PEK to be nearly all Star. So AA is bringing PIT-PHX back up to 2x daily A319s in September, which I kinda expected. So I imagine this cut was made due to the MAX grounding.
