Re: US3 hub number of gates?

Please read the entire OP before commenting: “For example,” does not imply AA is xx at CLT. Most people in this forum know UA has more than 50 gates at ORD. The OP does not know. He/she wants to know: AA: CLT - xxx gates DFW - xxx gates MIA - xxx gates ORD - xxx gates Etc for PHL, PHX, etc. DL: ATL ...

“Could” add says the article, not “adding.”

Mods, can we please change the title as this is misleading.

Re: Hawaiian will stop PEK service starting 11OCT

Chinese capacity is too high and fares are ridiculous.

UA at ORD and DL at DTW seem to be holding their own, but they’ve been around a while.

AA is best to focus on DFW.

LH moved DFW back to a 333 a few days ago: Frankfurt – Dallas/Ft. Worth eff 31MAR19 A330-300 continues operating 1 daily, replacing previously filed A340-600 https://www.routesonline.com/news/38/airlineroute/280136/lufthansa-s19-frankfurt-long-haul-changes-as-of-17aug18/ So much for the 346 at DFW n...

Dear new posters: West coast refers to California, Oregon, and Washington State. Please do not say how Airport ABC (east of the Rocky Mountains) should get this service. No Miami??? :-) Or ATL, AUS, BNA, BOS, CLE, CLT, CMH, CVG, DFW, DTW, EWR, IAD, IAH, IND, JFK, MCI, MSP, ORD, PHL, PIT, RDU, STL, ...

BNE-DFW/ORD/SEA
MEL-DFW
SYD-SEA

These seem to be to most talked about routes in the future to the US.

Re: Philadelphia route expansion?

A fundamental question in my mind is - how many spare widebodies does AA have for international service? Folks discuss expansion plans and dreams, but does AA have the lift to accomplish this? Seems to me that if AA was planning on expanding, a prudent course of action would be to 1) not retire the...

Re: UA 77W and 772

UA must feel good about their position at ORD as they only fly the oldest wide bodies at O’Hare and still use 757s seasonally.

No 787s and only the occasional 77W.

Would be interesting if UA started ORD-MAN (seasonal or year-round).

There have been rumors of BA flying MAN-JFK/ORD. Could there be a swap on one of these if the rumored AA on PHX-LHR swap with BA happens!

Re: Southwest latest airline to restrict service, emotional support animals

Thank goodness most airlines are now working to get emotional support animals under control. It truly got out of hand and was ridiculous. Tugg I agree. When I was a kid many years ago and knew many people that were afraid of flying or had other issues, I never saw “emotional support” Kamona Dragons...

Re: AA drops ORD-PEK

I find it surprising that Beijing can have flights to Astana, Belgrade etc. (granted of course without competition but still) but a local carrier cannot make a flight work from the third largest city in the US where it has a sizeable hub and all. I genuinely would have expected it would have at lea...

Re: UA S18 Departures By Hub And Aircraft Type

It was mentioned in another thread that ORD was AAs 3rd post profitable hub behind DFW and CLT and ahead of MIA and PHL (wasn’t PHL labeled the crown jewel earlier in the year?) If that’s the case and AA is doing well to major US business markets and LHR, I doubt they will leave. If ORD was that bad...

Re: AA drops ORD-PEK

I can see AA dropping PVG. NRT, possibly, but there is quite a bit of O&D between Chicago and Tokyo and May impact corporate contracts. But, business is business and if JL can do it, why not. Surprised that ORD is more profitable than MIA. Kirby knows where AA is weak at ORD, but has limited gro...
