We're thrilled to announce two new direct routes from Madison: Las Vegas and Orlando. https://twitter.com/SunCountryAir/status/1171439931828236292?s=20 Low frequency, but this basically replaces PVD. Article and pics of Qatar Qsuite service on the PHL route.
Qatar back to A359 Yea would love for A350-1000 one day but at least the 350-900 for this route has Qsuites now. I'm really satisfied with the Qsuites addition, so I'll take it. Very excited to get these 5 American 787 routes in as well. I totally agree. Will be great seeing newer aircraft at PHL e...Jump to post
So looks like PHL will gain Saturday only seasonal service to Bozeman, Montana next year. Not a bad addition especially with Eagle/Vail starting up this December.

Aww man that sucks I thought both routes were doing pretty good but obviously I was wrong. That is a massive shame. I thought the switching to the afternoon flight would boost numbers for the LAX flight While AA and NK are currently the other airlines serving LAX nonstop from PHL, DL adding PHL-LAX...Jump to post
PHL-KEF is also a new route for next summer (AA). TXL and DBV will return, BLQ will not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I wonder if Icelandair would end operations when this happens especially with the issues they’ve been having as of late. I hope not. They are my cheap connection to ARN someti...Jump to post
Update for LH for Frankfurt next year Frankfurt – Philadelphia eff 29MAR20 A340-600 replaces 747-400, 1 daily. First Class service once again offered Interesting that LH is running the B744 during the winter season. Sad there was no MUC service from LH Yea I was for MUC too but obviously they feel ...Jump to post

Anyone with more details? PHL-KEF is also a n...Jump to post
I still don’t understand why PDX is summer only pretty much. Because AA would rather run people thru their hubs (and their competitors’ hubs) and because AS won’t grab and fill unserved routes at PDX because they’re too distracted with California and PAE and would rather shuttle everyone thru SEA. ...Jump to post

Since we are looking talking about to rumored routes to PHL. I thought I would take a look at the predictions that was made at the beginning of the year. Definitely some good calls on here. Happened: -Slim chance of QR upguage to a Qsuites aircraft (Sep PHL will see the Qsuites A359) -Frontier usua...Jump to post
I feel like one of them will include PHL since AA just cut PHL-MUC. I was thinking the same thing. Maybe the 747 FRA route is doing well enough to justify a route to MUC. That's also very possible. IAH seems like another likely one. Should be interesting to see what they pick. PHL and IAH are my pi...Jump to post

I know aviation for philly had been dry lately but here’s a post I saw today for a chapter service to Nantucket
Side note I have a feeling we will hear American announcements soon for new service next year
So looks like KLM and Air France are interested in expanding to Deltas Focus cities according to this article. What are your guys thoughts on this?

As a PHL fan disappointed FI cutting the season short yet again this year. Obviously they have there reasons my guess cause of the Max issues or bookings maybe low to there expectations. Right now, Icelandair is short about 9-10 planes. The MAX groundings have killed them this year; JFK was suppose...Jump to post

I really don't understand this discussion (ref: airport transportation). You all realize that there exists and has for many years, frequent high speed trains directly to the airport terminals, including directly from one of AMTRAK's major stations (30th Street - Philadelphia). It's an almost seamle...Jump to post
Since we are on the topic of airport expansion. Access to the airport is key for growth. As part of the master plan I would add expanding the Broad Street Line from the sports complex to the Navy Yard and Airport this way the business travelers from the Navy yard has quick access to the airport tra...Jump to post
Thanks as always for your Sunday post always look forward to them. For DL I’m surprised they are making there JFK-KEF route seasonal especially since WOW Air ceases Operations. I’m curious as to why they are going this route. I think this is exactly why Delta made this seasonal because they no long...Jump to post

With Delta 2x, United 1x at Newark and Norwegian starting service July 1st not sure if it would be in AA interest to start JFK-ATH unless they look to dominate that market. I see that the flight is now a 777. Does that have the QSuites ? I was on it last Monday and it was still the 350. Pretty sure ST has passed on the PHL TA market. That's sad to hear. I'm guessing the premium for PHL it's not high enough for ST or AA undercutting like crazy I'm dying for a KLM flight without a major hassle in getting to JFK. AA announced service will start between PHL and EGE (Vail/Eagle) Colorado Dec 21st for Saturday only Winter service. Will be on 757 Interesting choice of an aircraft. I've said all along that AA needs to RETURN to Tel Aviv from PHL, JFK, MIA, LAX or DFW! After they added Hong Kong and Sydney a few years ago (high yielding markets in the Pacific), there is ONLY 1 market left over the Atlantic that is high yielding and that is Tel Aviv! Dunno why they left TLV, it...Jump to post
