Corporate name was changed from "Airline" to "Airways" in early 2019. Y’all are right. That’s much better. Mea culpa. I drove past the training center today and it still says “Republic Airline” on the side so I assumed it hadn’t changed. The world feels slightly more orderly now.

It’s just a pretty poor city. Fair amount of people, not a lot of wealth. That said I’m not sure how/where Allegiant is marketing but their gates are ALWAYS packed. I’d be shocked if their LF in under 95% out of MEM.

Join the military. You’ll still have a long career as an airline pilot. I thoroughly enjoy flying for my airline but military flying was one of the biggest privileges of my life.

EFVS is fleet wide with the exception of the A300. Occasionally you may see aircraft added to the fleet, Ship 840 for instance, that have no yet received their EFVS upgrade but it usually doesn’t take long.

This has to be a huge hit for ASL. I guess there might have been some kind of 5 year clause in the contract from the TNT take over that has now lapsed. That's the only reason I can come up with for why they would take this step right now when freight is booming. I hope ASL can find new jobs for man...

Mesa hasn't killed anyone in 40 years of operation which is more than most regionals can say. Mesa's pay has always been horrible. I knew a Mesa FA that lived in her car in the employee lot at ORD. As a general rule the pilot contract does not allow for scheduled deadheads on company aircraft... though there are numerous exceptions.
