Re: Rumor: AS trying to get B6

Also....I think they should have all 3 merged. If the VX deal fell thru with B6....B6 should have counter-offered a 3 way merge. VX was very small and I think the government would have allowed it. It reminds me of AA wanting B6 for such a long time. Apparently it was going to be a AA/US/B6 merge a f...

Re: Rumor: AS trying to get B6

I think this would work. It would create a very strong "Barbell" route network! Extremely similar to when America West purchased US Airways. AW was strong in the West and US was strong in the East. Here, You have a very dominant west coast carrier and a very dominant east coast carrier- it...

I REALLY am interested in the aircraft they chose. The new Mitsubishi Regional Jet is apparently turning up the heat!!! It looks like a great aircraft. This could work out well.....new airline.....new launch customer.....good deal on multiple frames????

The website looks very nice. Its branded very well also. This is going to start....I'm wondering what aircraft and initial cities??? Also if they will train at another carriers facility being they may not have sims/cabin trainers, etc. I would speculate a late 2019 start. I'm going to guess either a...

Possible Name of "new entrant" LCC in Houston?

Having just read the post about the former United CFO looking to start a new budget airline out of Houston as early as the end of this year, what are some cool names he should consider? I noticed some of the cities suggested were "de-hubbed".....sounds like a good start. I'm sure many in p...

Re: Could AS + B6 = rebrand as "National Airlines" ?

If you look back at USAir....they are where JetBlue is now. The name "USAir" was too "regional" sounding. So to become more of a dominant "world Class airline", they rebranded to US Airways. I beleive JetBlue needs to tweek their brand/imge just a bit to market themselv...

Ok. Lets get serious here for a minute. JetBlue needs to fix its "identity" problem FIRST before they start flying to Europe. Also, what about the remainder of the US????? What about customers who live in those markets???? If B6 wants to be a FULL SERVICE airline, they must connect the dot...

The "jet" seems blue in color to me. And the teal color is part of their color scheme....not used a lot, but it is on many posters and jetbridge signage. It just seemed too obviously different not to notice.....

Possible slight change to JetBlue Livery...

I received an email from "TrueBlue" which is JB's frequent flier program. They are asking for Opinions in turn for an award of 400 True Blue points. I have a very good eye for detail. It was called "JetOpinions". I noticed immediately that the "jet" logo was different. ...

What about poor CLT???? Every city BUT CLT is gaining service??!! What in the heck is wrong with CLT??? Frontier, Spirit, Southwest all serve CLT with NO problems at all, despite it being a hub for AA. 7X to RDU???? Gosh, what a slap in the face for the second biggest banking city on the east coast!...

Re: Memphis International Airport - New Airline Hangar

I think it would be a great alternative airport to ATL for another airline. They could compete easily without all of the congestion. ATL is so huge and confusing to many people. They could use it and market it as an "easy southern connection....less stress" not to mention that it will be c...

Perhaps United is waiting on a new livery because they might change their name?? Thoughts....

I think NOW......NO airline wants B6. Why would they? They don't even know what type of airline they are or where they are headed??!! Not to mention they are chronically late, employee morale is low and they have absolute NO direction. Its a messy and sloppy carrier now. I think maybe 10 years ago t...

Like I keep saying- MEM is the BEST place for an airline to setup. Its being completely redone and will be very nice once completed. Im sure operating costs are lower considering its a city thats not doing so well, but on the other hand would be a SOLID competitor to both CLT and ATL. FedEx is there...

When I worked at B6 a few years back, all of a sudden we were moving all of our gates to be ear AA gates.....also some very important documents had been "leaked" or "discovered" at HQ regarding a merger with AA. It was very bizarre. You could actually feel something happening.......

Having worked for the airline for over a decade, there are many problems facing B6. *Identity crisis- make up your mind. Be a Legacy or be an ULCC. They claim they are in the "sweet spot"....what the heck is that??? * Identifying with above statement: They want to "sort of" make ...

I think MEM is an EXCELLENT city to start a hub operation. Afterall, it was Republics hub back in the 80's and when NWA bought them, they kept it. It is now being redone and will be beautiful! Geographically its in a great location for service all over and would compete very nicely with ATL and CLT....

Yes. I was brainstorming and came up with a catchy name and idea for a new startup that could go into 3 major hubs that were closed, but are all going thru major renovations and terminal improvements. Lets take the 3- PIT/ MEM/ STL. ( Or MCI) Use a new fleet of A220's....and build up a Low Cost HUB ...

I think with that many gates, it will become a focus city/ small crew base. People in Charlotte would benefit from another carrier other than AA. And many more travelers prefer Delta over AA. Also- SO MANY people from the Charlotte area go back and forth from the ATL area on a daily basis. With that...

Apparently when Phase 1 of Terminal A opened, Delta wanted ALL of it. AA said NO. But...Delta had a good 6-7 gates on A. I think something might be in the works. They have a lot of flying out of RDU as well....mostly RJ, but its sizeable.
