Hotel gyms are a lifesaver. Don't need to do a full workout, but a 20-30 min walk in the morning gets you moving and any bit of exercise is a help. 1 hour and 15 minutes? That's an eternity at an efficient airport like FRA. We made a 45 minute connection once after our inbound from NAP was late and we ended up at a bus stand. Didn't take us more than 10-15 minutes to clear immigration and we got to our Z gate with more than enough time to spar...

From a passenger perspective, I loved the MD-11. Comfy, quiet, just an all round nice experience.
