I hate it when LH sell connections of 40-45 mins in FRA. They assume there are no queues in security.. every flight arrives at a terminal and not remote stand and you don't have to transfer from one part of the airport to another. ...oh and their flight is on time ! I've noticed OS used to sell LHR...

Lufthansa once closed a gate on me two minutes before scheduled departure, so yeah, I know the feeling. I was flying in on a delayed Lufthansa, and the ongoing Lufthansa flight didn't wait.

I know it's heresy here, but I always thought the 757 was ugly. Tall gear, seemed scrawny, I know it's fine plane but it's just...not a pretty plane.

For a more a-net pleasing answer, I think the VFW Fokker 614 is pretty ugly - I don't think it flew, I think the Earth rejected it! ;)

I'd bring back Malév. Always liked the paint scheme, get a decent mix of Emb and Airbus in there to do regional and mid- range flights. Not too crazy different from what LOT are doing in BUD.

Can't imagine much - don't think it's worth bumping a first class passenger up to residence, is it? Whole point of the residence is to be a super elite experience.

Although I suppose a case might be made to upgrade someone to residence so you have another first class seat to sell.

I find the 777 noisier than the 747, also colder. Go figure. I had no idea my last Queen flight was all the way back in 2000 - ended on a high though, bumped up to business class for the one and only time in my life :)

I would think the big issue was commonality. A design that has nothing in common with Boeing family would be inherently more expensive to build and support.

I think it would not be possible for you, the Haj terminal is completely separate from the North and South terminals, so you would have to clear customs and immigration to make the connection. Without a visa I think this would be a problem.

I’d sure like to fly on one again. I flew on one when I was a kid. Out of Kuwait. It had engine failure and diverted. Spent the night in an horrible hotel with awful food. I still really like the plane though. I remember walking out to the TriStars as a kid at the old Dhahran International airport....

Neat, I was on N801NW in August, DTL-AMS. :)

Oh, and the A340 you couldn't make out is a Virgin plane, you can just make out the top of the V, and the red nacelles as well.
