Thank you for the opinions. How should I go about cropping the JetBlue? The original without sharpening looked good in my eyes and I think I overdid it with sharpening.

Just me, I'm not a screener, but I see marginal noise on all of them, otherwise pretty good.
The Air Canada DH8D will probably get a motive rejection though.

The 757's seem a bit affected by heat haze. The Cessna's look passable and the Falcon look flat and you cropped of a small antenna on the wingtip. Marginal light for that, but I think you could get away with that. Both of the 757's are affected by HH? I could see the one on the ground but I don't s...

I can't speak for you as I don't own this lens, but I do own the 150-600mm. This one is very good, but that one seems even better. It seems like a good buy to me, but wait for some more responses.

B757 looks passable. EC45 looks blurry PA23 looks flat and not great (although pretty decent for a phone photo). tysm for the feedback. I'm going to put the 757 in the queue. Vertical framing is fine, horizontally it would need a tighter crop. Otherwise underexposed and softish, marginal quality. Image Stabilization?

Hi there.

I currently own and use the Sigma 150-600mm lens for plane spotting. Should I be using image stabilization or not? If I do, should I use mode 1 or 2? My guess is to use mode 2 stabilization, but I've been shooting without it mostly.

Yeah, tried shooting through the fence, the planes were quite far and it was a bad day for lighting. I finally got my polarizing filter off so I'll try again.

Ok, I kind of thought so. It was my first time in the rain with expensive equipment and I didn't focus on my shutter speed (which was like 1/50) so yeah. Kind of expected it, but thanks anyway!
