Interesting UA cuts on the premium trans cons (BOS/EWR - SFO/LAX) - understood its most likely MAX related but that can’t be an insignificant loss of (potential) J revenue.

Should Loyalty Programs Be Based on Spend Only?

Should loyalty programs be based on spend only? I got thinking about this topic as I was reviewing my various YTD spending on (US) airlines. I usually purchase “premium” seats (First, Economy+) and it seems that the MQM, PQM, etc. boost doesn’t match the significant price difference. This got me thi...

Re: Delta A220 route additions

Please bring these to ORD! Love the 717 but LGA-ORD would be so much more pleasant on the 220.

Re: UA Launches EWR/CPT

At the risk of being overly cynical (but also drawing from experience) - 8:30pm departure from EWR? The place isn't exactly a well-oiled machine at that hour. Also it's slated to begin operating in the norther hemispheric winter which would indicate a bit of an international operational drop-off (p...

How is United's D0 Program Going?

There was much discussion when United announced its renewed focus (and associated compensation perks) on D0 departures. From your observation(s), how is it going? My small sample size includes 8 mainline flights in the past 3 weeks out of EWR, LGA, ORD and smaller but still mainline stations through...

Re: Delta wants several airlines out at JFK T4

Very interesting how the thread devolves from a post regarding a blog article to discussion about a CEO's public role for a company. Regardless, I don't think Ed is completely off-base here. Operating at JFK (and LGA, and EWR...) is an enormous challenge for reasons we have all discussed here. I don...

Re: WN's most profitable stations

I would have to imagine LGA is one of their most profitable (using the metric of yield). Limited real estate footprint and fares into LGA can often be quite expensive.

They look identical to the AA/UA/DL transcon J offering - what's with the shoulder seatbelts?

Re: Joon take over 4 Air France Europe destinations S19

I appreciate that BA has a similar (unbranded) arrangement with it's Worldwide vs. Mixed Fleet crewing operation. Is Joon the same idea as this, but just in branded form?

Weakest Aspect of Regional / Connection Carriers in US?

Long time reader, first time poster. I often see regional / connection / commuter carrier flights, delayed for hours at major hubs (recent examples: EWR - PVD 4 hours late; ORD - OMA 3 hours late, etc). I appreciate that the non-mainline flights are the first impacted by any weather / ATC / flow red...
