Re: United Fleet/Network Thread - 2019

Anyone know when UA will announce new international service for 2020? If you are looking for or expecting an AA style type announcement for 2020 I think you are in for disappointment. It's easy to forget UA has launched quite a few international routes this year, we still have a few more launches t...

Re: EL AL...MCO official announcement

That chart is purposely misleading. Markets have multiple airports. Orlando is not the 5th largest O&D market; MCO is the 5th largest O&D airport. Both D.C. and Miami are larger O&D markets; clear from the chart combining the Houston or Dallas airports would not put them past Orlando, s...

Re: EL AL...MCO official announcement

LAS and MCO make a lot of sense. As well as business traffic and VFR, there are vacation possibilities both ways. Israelis want their holidays in reliably secure locations and the USA ticks those boxes. It's great to see LY moving outside of its prior niche of trunk routes and developing new market...

Re: Orlando Aviation Thread - 2019

Adding LAS and then MCO before ORD is completely illogical. Not that this would prevent them from starting it or anything because if they had logic, ORD would have been added a long time ago and LY is definitely pursuing some form of a dartboard strategy these days. LY must be scared of UA United o...

Re: Future expansion of United in Chicago O'Hare

The issue is there are only 14 78J's and 18 77W's. As much as I hate to admit it, they need to put them in EWR/SFO first and foremost since they are bigger international gateways and more competitive. Nonetheless, it is very odd ORD see's no UA 787's. I suspect that will change eventually, but UA m...

I have been told LY is resuming service from ORD in Spring or Summer 2019. Do you know anything about this? Frequency? Plane?
