What is the likelihood of these routes being extended? It seems to me that 2 months is just the trial period.

Additionally, how was PBI totally overlooked in all of this? LGA and BOS could have easily ran it daily.

Because there is no large hub carrier there? B6 and DL have nice sized operations but limited connecting ops and markets. It’s not a never ending supply of demand.

DL is much smaller than AA and B6 at EWR but has been growing consistently despite dropping the international routes. DL is actually about even on EWR-ATL capacity because it no longer sees 717s. MSP and DTW have been gaining back capacity. They brought back SLC last month. They aren’t running away ...

I would by no means consider TP a LCC but nor would I consider them amongst the most premium of full service carriers. They are taking advantage of connecting pax allowing them to lower their prices.

When you look at their September schedule it seems most of their new routes will tentatively fly at their original capacity.

EWR will have 35 flights on peak days in September. 15 of them are from the adds.

I can’t imagine MXP being too profitable with EK, DL, AZ, and UA all being in the mix. Furthermore, FCO and BCN are too leisure oriented for AA’s market. MAD should perform well but maybe they lose out from all the competition on this route?

The only airport where some connections may actually flow is EWR. Of course it’s the airport with the least amount of service from both carriers. Currently AA and B6 are in separate concourses (for the most part) but this will change next year. In terminal 1 B6 should easily be able to grab 8 gates ...
