LH is closing PHL effective tomorrow, 10/1. There is a possibility that the station may reopen in December, but stakeholders were advised that the most likely scenario is reopening will coincide with the Summer 2021 schedule. AA is also back on winter seasonal SLC in the latest OAG. Service commences 12/17 and runs 5x a week through April. I don't think there's ever been an AA route that has had such inconsistency from PHL. I guess a pandemic is the time to bring it back when people are leaning toward outdoorsy vacations...

I don’t think anyone really saw this coming for PHL. F9 is going to be livid. F9 and AA. Now AA has to not only fight low fares with F9/NK, they also have to fight against better inflight product (PTVs, more legroom, free wifi, etc.) with B6. These are leisure routes, so they can't rely too heavily...
